Prologue 2

Do you ever just take a moment to think things over? I don't. Well, I used to not do that until I met her. Now I think about how family isn't always blood. And I think about how sometimes you get a chance to earn back your happy ending.

I used to be a boy who pretended to be someone he wasn't to avoid people from getting close. I was a cliché jock with a cliché attitude and a cliché reputation. And that was fine until It wasn't anymore.

I was a boy who was so afraid to let people in that he rather lived his live scaring everybody out.

During this journey, I learned that not everybody is supposed to be with you forever and that not everyone is worth keeping with you forever. And that letting people in, if they are the right kind of people, isn't a bad thing.

Even if in the end you don't expect to end up with that one person. Or with any person for that matter. All that matters is that, that one person is the one with who you fit in.

Now I promise you this is not only a story about a broken boy with trust issues. Neither is it a story about a lost bad boy that needs fixing.

Anyway, I am getting ahead of myself, my name is Samuel Brens. Sam for you. And turns out this is also my story.
