"Rosie you can't wear that" is the first thing Grey says when I walk out of the bathroom Friday night.

"Why not?" I ask her, looking down at my outfit. I am wearing black jeans with a black and white striped shirt. Tonight, was my date with Leo. He didn't tell me what we are going to do so I decided to put on something casual and comfortable. This afternoon I didn't see him, so I didn't have the chance to ask. I was glad about that. The whole day I was feeling uneasy. I don't know how to explain it, you know that feeling when you promised to go somewhere but you kind of don't want to anymore when the moment comes. Well that was what I was feeling the whole day.

"Because you are going on a date" she explains her statement, I raise an eyebrow. "Oh, come on Rose you need to dress up you can't dress like you do every day" she sighs getting up walking to the bedroom.

I follow her into the bedroom "What are you are you doing?" I find her searching through our closet.

"Getting you an outfit," she says throwing me some tights.

"I'm not wearing a dress" I don't want to dress to fancy I don't even know what we are going to do.

"Yes, you are" my best friend hands me my grey dress. It is a dark grey dress made from a soft sweatshirt like fabric. I must admit she made a good choice; it wasn't to warm but if we were going outside, I wouldn't get cold and most important of all it was comfortable. Still, I was opposed to the idea.

I shake my head "I'm not going to dress all pretty, it is just Leo, he saw me in my pyjamas and still asked me out I don't need to dress up" I try to reason with Grey. She walks out of the room not even giving me a second look.

"Change. Now! I will get the blow dryer to do your hair" she yells at me walking to the bathroom.

A few minutes later I walk out of the bedroom to see her standing next to the couch with a pair of ankle boots in her hands. She looks at me tilting her head. Like she was begging me to pick them.

"No chance, I'm wearing my all-stars" she puts the down nodding understandingly. My black high all-stars are my trademark I love to wear them. They are getting older. But the older they get the nicer they look and the more comfortable they become. I sat down in front of Grey on a chair she had put in the middle of the living room. She starts doing my hair.

I look on my watch it is 5:40 p.m. "How late is he picking you up?" Grey asks when she sees me watching the time.

"Normally at 6 but knowing him he will be here in about 5 to 10 minutes".

She started laughing "He probably will yes, are you excited"

"I guess" I lift both of my shoulders, Grey stays silent encouraging me to continue. "I don't really know how to fell about it, it feels weird going out with him. Like he is expecting a lot out of it and I don't know if I can give him all of that" I confess honestly.

"I get you" she is done with my hair, so I get up and she comes standing in front of me "Don't be your usual self, try not to worry about it and to not overthink everything. Just go with the moment" she takes both of my hand in hers and looks me in the eyes. "Okay?" I nod and hug her.

I go to my room to get my bag. Five minutes later I hear a knock on the door "See you later Grey" I wave at her walking to the door she waves back "Have fun". I'm going to try; I owe Leo at least that.

I open the door; Leo immediately greets me with a happy face "Hey".

I smile at him "Hey".

I close the door behind me. We walk to the end of the hallway down the stairs and to his car in uncomfortable silence. Both of us not knowing what to say in this new situation. I buckled my seatbelt once I am seated in his car.
