Finally, back to the Permian. Seymouria was a small amphibian with the body of a reptile, and it could survive without water for a long time in the Permian. It would probably eat eggs, possibly stealing them from the nests of edaphosaurus and dimetrodon. At the beggining of the late Permian more advanced creatures wiped these out, before them themselves being wiped out in the p-t extinction event.
