The trilobites evolved in the Cambrian, but they lived through the paleozoic until the Permian, when the great dying wiped out them all. The biggest trilobite was isotelus rex, although they ranged from that size to tiny wood chip size. They have no living relations, and no relations from the Mesozoic either. Despite that, trilobites are still among the most famous extinct beasts ever.
