The next morning when Niko woke up the only ones in the kitchen were Chi and Mae. Mae was cooking breakfast and had just put it on a plate when he walked out.

"Good morning," Niko nodded to the two ladies.

"Morning," Mae and Chi said at the same time.

"Chi, hurry and eat and you can go meet up with Dyspo," Mae said handing Niko breakfast.

Niko gave a small smile and ate the breakfast. He was rather nervous for the training, but everytime he thought about a fight, his whole body grew goosebumps, sending a warm, tingly feeling. He realized it was his inner saiyan yearning for a good fight.

Once Chi finished eating she pulled out a button and disappeared. "Okay Niko you ready for more training?" Mae asked.

"Yep," he smiled. His tail unwrapped itself from his waist and began to wag excitedly.

Mae noticed his tail and grabbed it, wanting to see his reaction.

Niko froze. His face contorted slightly in pain, but other than that, he remained unfazed. "Hey, that kinda hurts," he frowned, trying to pry her hand away.

"Yeah I figured as much," Mae let him go. "Your tail can be a really big weak point. You need to train yourself to not be in pain when someone grabs it."

Niko wrapped it around his waist once more. "Oh," he frowned. "I usually like to hide it since Touka likes to pull on it. Tarron still does sometimes. So, it doesn't hurt that much."

"Well better to train yourself against it rather than hiding your tail," Mae said tugging on it again.

Niko grimaced. The longer Mae tugged on it, the more it began to hurt. He held in his cries and withstood the pain in struggling silence. He clenched his fists out of sight.

Mae let him go again. "Ready to train?"

Niko wrapped his tail around his waist again. He rubbed his lower back, where the pain had surged to, and simply nodded. "Yeah. Let's go."

They went back out into the woods. "Let's start in your base form." She motioned for him to attack when ready.

Niko quickly stretched and cracked a few parts. He took a deep breath, calming his body and mentally preparing for battle. He thought back to Goku and Mae's spar and how smoothly they fought. He hoped his body would fluidly move like theirs soon.

Niko dashed towards Mae, powering up energy blasts in his hand. He tried to hide them in his fists, so when they landed, he would release the energy. He did so as Mae blocked with her forearms.

Mae continued to dodge his attacks until one point where she punched him and grabbed his tail. "Today we are going to fix this weak point."

Niko cried out in surprise. "Fuck!" he grit his teeth in pain. Mae gripped his tail with more force than anyone had before previously. He wrapped his legs around her arm, punching and prying her hand.

Mae just slammed him into the ground repeatedly.

Niko tightened his grip. "Ugh, let go!" he screamed. His lower back pain was on fire. He bit down on her arm in desperation.

"Alright," Mae tossed him up into the air and held a hand out, "big bang attack!"

Niko felt instant relief from the released hold of his tail. He quickly turned his focus to the blast, but it was too fast for him. He yelled loudly as the blast struck him head on.

Before he could recover Mae was back on him and again she grabbed his tail.

Niko hung upside down by his tail. The fiery pain shot up his back. His back spasmed for a moment in shock of the pain. He began to feel dizzy and numb in pain. Niko looked up and forced himself to kick Mae's stomach multiple times.
