Niko was speechless. He flew down to check up on Goku. "H-Hey! Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.
Goku was laying on the ground, struggling to get up. "He's gotten a lot stronger."
"Are you done?" Jiren asked as he landed next to them. He didn't have nearly as much damage as Goku.
"Y-Yeah," Goku nodded.
Niko thought about the fight for a moment. Then, he jumped up and down in excitement. "Wow, that was awesome! So cool!" he smiled brightly at them. He couldn't contain his excitement.
Jiren helped Goku up. "I'm glad you enjoyed it," he said.
"So did you learn anything?" Goku asked, clutching his side.
Niko stopped to think about the fight. "I learned... to be smart," he replied seriously. "You said Jiren was stronger than you, so it's important to be careful of what your attacks should be."
"Ah, yep," Goku chuckled. "That's probably the most important lesson to learn."
Niko nodded. "I also learned I need to train my eyes better," he smiled sheepishly.
"That will come with time," Jiren said, still helping Goku stand.
"Okay," Niko replied. He noticed Goku's state and felt bad. "Sorry for asking you two to fight. I promise to use what I learned from your fight." He thought of his mother, hearing her voice to be respectful, and gave a small bow.
Goku started laughing, "dont be sorry. It was a good training. It's been awhile since I've fought Jiren."
"Okay," Niko nodded with a small smile. "We're going back to Mae's house, right?"
"Yes," Jiren nodded. "Toppo I leave the universe with you."
"If anything happens I'll give you a call," Toppo nodded. Jiren used his button to bring himself and the two Saiyans to his home.
When they went inside Mae was cooking dinner. "Hey guys!" She called. "Woah dad, what happened to you?"
"Jiren," Goku groaned as he sat down.
"Hi, Mae! I got to see Goku and Jiren fight! It was really cool!" Niko grinned.
"Oh yeah?" She smiled at him. "Were you able to keep up the whole time?"
Niko's grin faltered. "Um. K-Kinda. It got kinda hard by the end," he admitted with a pout.
Mae laughed and ruffled his hair. "That's okay. So did it end how you thought it would?"
Niko shrugged. "I dunno. I had no idea who would win. Goku said Jiren was stronger than him, but strength isn't everything."
"That's a good point," Mae said. "But, Jiren's skills are pretty impressive too." She smiled fondly at her husband.
Niko smiled at her response. "You're right. They both have lots of skills. You guys are all so cool," he replied, but blushed as the words left his mouth.
Jiren smiled at his excitement. "Thanks Niko."
"Hah you really are a saiyan," Goku laughed before grabbing his side in pain again. "Mae I don't suppose you have any senzu beans."
"Nope I don't," Mae said giving them plates of food.
Niko made an unsure face. "Um, if you want, I could try healing you, Goku. My mom taught me how," he suggested, holding his hand out as shining, crimson energy appeared in his palm. "It's a family tradition or something."
"If you want to," Goku nodded.
Niko went over healed Goku, the crimson energy fading to dust. Afterwards, he felt quite drained, but didn't show it. "Is that better?" he asked.
