Mae took Niko inside and began to bandage his arm. Once he was all taken care of she started cooking food. "Hey I'm back!" Goten called as he walked in. "Woah Niko you got your ass kicked huh?"
Niko pouted. "Y-Yeah. It's hard training," he tried to defend himself.
"You know Mae drops her guard after a fight? Like immediately after, that the best time to get a strike in," Goten said leaning in close.
"Shut up Goten!" Mae snapped at him.
Niko shrugged. "Well, I wanna fight her fair and square." He gently rubbed his shoulder.
"Fair enough," Goten laughed.
"That's good Niko," Mae said glaring up at her brother. Goten sat down and Mae put plates in front of both him and Niko.
As they were eating Goten spoke up. "Mae I gotta tell you about Frieza."
"What about him?" Mae asked her tone becoming serious.
Niko noticed the tension and felt the name was familiar for some reason. "Who's that?" he asked slowly.
"He's the person responsible for the destruction of Planet Vegeta," Mae replied. "He was brought back to life after the Tournament of Power and he's been relatively quiet."
Niko did somewhat of a double take. "Um, I don't get it. So, is he a good guy now, or what?"
"No," Mae shook her head. "He's still as evil as ever. The reason we brought him back for the tournament is because we needed a 10th member. Last I heard he was rebuilding his army."
"His army is already rebuilt," Goten said. "He's looking for Broly now and once he finds him he's coming for you."
"Me?" Mae raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah. Last time he was here he saw Drae. Our intel says that he wants her on his side," Goten explained.
"Well Drae is long gone so," Mae shrugged. "What about Broly?"
"We don't know where he is," Goten said. "He left Vampa a few years ago."
Niko was taken aback. "What? Does that mean he's coming for Earth? 'Cause if he does, that sounds really bad," he asked with a worrisome expression.
"Probably not," Goten said. "Frieza won't come here without Broly at least."
"Frieza isn't stupid enough to pick a fight he won't win," Mae crossed her arms. "There's a good chance he knows we've all gotten stronger. Dad and I are at Ultra Instinct and while Vegeta can't use the form his royal blue is on par with it. Assuming Frieza has gotten stronger as well it would still be stupid."
Niko thought hard. "So, what're you guys gonna do?"
"Nothing for now," Mae shrugged. "Is the galactic patrol doing anything about it?"
"No," Goten looked down. "When Trunks and I asked they said that the galactic patrol leaves them alone and they leave us alone. It's like a non verbal agreement or something."
Niko crossed his arms. "If Frieza is such a bad guy, he won't follow the rules. Someone is gonna have to attack first," he frowned.
"That's what Trunks and I said but they didn't wanna hear it," Goten sighed. "But I just wanted to warn you guys. I already told Dad and I'm sure Trunks is telling Vegeta."
Niko nodded. "Okay." He made a mental note to watch out for weird energies he could possibly sense.
Mae opened her mouth to say something but then the door opened and the twins and Gohan came in. "Uncle Goten!" Chi and Gicchin came running up.
