The next morning, Niko awoke early and made his way to the couch. He thought about the previous day and wondered if it was a dream. Did he really go Super Saiyan Four? It was all very blurry. Niko shook the thoughts away and inside practiced some internal ki training, closing his eyes and crossing his legs.

An hour later a delicious smell caught his attention. He left the room and saw Mae cooking breakfast. Jiren was sitting at the table working on some documents. Mae glanced over, "morning Niko!"

Niko managed to pull his curls in a bun once more using a shoelace. Every part of his body was still hurting, but he knew it was good. He smile softly, "Good morning."

"How are ya feeling?" Mae asked as she set a plate in front of Jiren and one in front of Niko. Jiren gave a nod of thanks before focusing back on his forms.

"My everything hurts," he replied honestly, sinking into his chair.

"Well that's a good sign you are getting stronger. Soon your body will build up a tolerance and the pain won't be as bad," Mae said sitting down next to him. "I think we should continue working on that new form of yours."

Niko began to eat. "Hm. Okay," he answered. "But I don't know if I can do it again. I don't even know how I did it yesterday..."

"Maybe Vegeta can help," Mae shrugged. "I'm wondering if it's similar to super saiyan three in which you tap into that raw saiyan energy."

"I dunno," Niko frowned. "I skipped Super Saiyan Three, so, I wouldn't know."

"You know who also skipped super saiyan three?" Mae smirked. "Vegeta."

"What?" Niko seemed surprised. "He does the God form, right? That's so weird!" How were such jumps in level possible?

"Yep," Mae nodded. "The only ones who have done super saiyan three are me, my dad, and Gotenks."

Niko finished up eating, lost in thought. "Oh. So, are we gonna see Grandpa Vegeta?" he decided to ask.

"Yeah let me go get cleaned up first," Mae said as she went off to shower.

Once she was in the other room Jiren spoke up. "Did you have any more nightmares?"

Niko looked away. "Kinda, yeah. But it wasn't as bad as yesterday. I just woke up and did some ki training to calm down."

"Hmm, well I didn't tell Mae what we discussed," Jiren rubbed his chin.

Niko peaked at him. "You promise?" he asked quietly.

"I promise," Jiren nodded.

"Thanks," Niko replied, relieved.

"Of course. I do think you should talk to her though. And I think you should talk to your mother," Jiren said after a moment.

"I know," Niko looked down at his dishes. "I want mom to be honest, but I'm scared of what she'll say."

"That makes sense. But it'll probably be for the best, to help get rid of those unsure feelings," Jiren said.

Niko was silent for a few moments. "I need to talk to mom. Like right now. I don't wanna have anymore nightmares. Maybe if she tells me about dad, they'll stop, and I'll feel better."

"I agree," Jiren said. "Once Mae comes out we can go to the supreme kai and he can take you to your timeline to see your mother. Would you like Mae and I to be there as well?"

Niko thought for a moment. "Would you back me up?" he asked shyly.

"Of course," Jiren assured him.
