Maria turned the waltz music on for Vali and Gabriel. She studied Gabriel's form as the Prince critiqued her skill with him. There was always one step she got wrong no matter how much she practiced. The girl pulled away from the Vampire King and threw her hands in the air.

"Why the fuck can't I get that step right? I graduated with a 4.0 gpa with honors. I took advance Chemistry and Physics but I can't dance worth a fuck? I can do calculus and wind speed velocity to shoot the eye out of a hummingbird but I can't take 6 steps and put them in the proper order and not step on All Father's feet!"

"Dragostea mea, breath and watch my eyes instead of trying to watch your feet," Vali said softly.

"Relax your body and flow. Partly it is my height at 6'4" and you are on heels. We will take smaller steps."

"Okay, I'm ready...Maria start the music again."

Gabriel looked Vali in the eyes and blinked. They were a beautiful blue color that were memorizing and his smile was slightly mischievous as if he had plans to eat her sexually.

How did he have blue eyes? He is the first vampire...

"Breath and relax...open your mind a little..."

"Aah...I don't like that idea..." Gabriel said anxious.

"Mmm, why not? Do I scare you that much still?" Vali whispered in her ear, "I can be quite the charmer if you would only let me show you."

"Once in, you will have a foothold to my inner thoughts and workings. No thank you. My mind is mine for me to keep mine own," Gabriel said back.

A low predatory rumbling chuckle came from the vampire. "Such the clever girl. It would indeed and you have caught me being deceitful. Should I give you a prize?"

"No, you owe me something in the future and when I ask ,you must honor it."

"It is not unlimited in nature, not your freedom of course or save on punishments." Vali replied.

"When the situation arises, you and I will both know what is needed to be done," Gabriel stated.

"I do so enjoy your company Dragostea mea so your higher thinking does serve you well. As you will learn, only so much fucking can be done," Vali laughed,"and here you are dancing the Waltz."

"Oh!"

"That is enough for tonight Gabriel. Tomorrow we will practice in Prague," the Vampire King said, letting her hands free. "What did you name your stallion?"

"I chose a Russian name Prince, Vsevolod..."

"And the name must mean something coming from you."

"It does, vse is all and volodeti is to rule so two put together means to rule over everything / everybody," Gabriel paused, "And fitting for you All Father."

"Hmmm, there is those honey words again. Do not address me as All Father, it will be just enough to piss off some vampire offspring at the moment and put a large target on your head."

"Shall I set up for chess my Vsevolod?"

"Not tonight dragostea mea, I am in a foul mood for chess," Vali stated.

" A Teacher does not discourage a student with harsh criticism due to being in a poor mood."

"Music perhaps?"

"Shame none of your modern music is any good..."Vali replied.

"Mmm, let me play this one," Gabriel began to play the piano. "I have an okay voice..."
