"Victoria..." was all the Vampire said as he rushed past her in the doorway.

Vali who is this young woman?" Dr. Frankenstein asked with a frown. "One of your chess players?"

"Dr. Frankenstein I don't have time for your petty judgements," he snarled. "Gabriel was just fished out of a lake and this 'box' got her heart beating again."

Dr. Victoria Frankenstein pointed to her hospital prepared room. "How long was she under?"

"Five or six minutes..." the vampire paced.

"The cold water could be in our favor," the doctor stated. "Does she have your blood in her?"

"Yes," Draganu hissed with fangs bared. "Not for a month or so.."

"Better get some down her," Victoria checked Gabe's heartbeat. "I can't tell if she has brain damage or brain dead, at this point."

Vali took his right fang and opened his wrist up to press Gabe's open mouth to the wound. His large thumb stroked the front of her throat to get the swallowing reflex. When he was satisfied enough was down her throat he started to run his hand over her head as if petting a cat.

"You feeling alright Vampire King?" Victoria questioned out loud. "You seem unusually attached to this girl..."

"No more than any other in my game..." he scowled.

"Oh, so you want the bracelet back if she dies?" Dr. Frankenstein now asked, seeing the matching one on his wrist.

"Yes! It is a part of a set she had made for Christmas," the vampire huffed.

"How long?"

Vali went back to stroking Gabe's head. "Seven months and counting..."

"Well that's a record for you blood sucker," Victoria laughed grimly. "How is it, she has lasted this long?"

"Her father is a F.B.I. profiler..."

"Steiger? So you're the one that kidnapped his daughter," Victoria whistled.

"I just want a prognosis," First Vampire asked.

"You have a Mindlink right?" Dr. Frankenstein shrugged her shoulders.

"No. She wouldn't open up to me," he hissed back with displease.

"Then poke her mind and if she resists then she is most likely just unconscious," the doctor told him.

Draganu's red eyes glowed angrily but did as the doctor suggested. He began to enter her mind to hit a wall of mental sorts. He pushed and the mental wall remained as it was.

"Her mind is resisting mine..."

"That should be a good sign," Victoria acknowledged the Unholy King. "Go take care of your business. I will contact you when she wakes."

"Call me as soon as her eyes open! I have much to discuss with her,'" the Vampire growled out then created a portal to continue his hunt of the enemy vampire from a family of priests.

Dr. Victoria Frankenstein wrapped warm blankets slowly, one at a time, to raise Gabriel's body temperature. The doctor also strapped the college student down so Gabe couldn't make a quick escape once coming to.

Victoria checked Gabriel's body for abuse and found only a few scars that looked more to be from escaping or before meeting the first vampire. All the cuts or bites, Vali was prone to healing except one. A set punctuation scars on the inside of her right thigh, high enough that only fingers could really detect them. There was the brand but the doctor hadn't thought to check the back of Gabe's neck.
