My Confusion

I thought that was it,

The end of a chapter,

The start of another,

I thought that was it.

Another chapter starts,

But it feels like repetition,

Starts as a friend,

My confusion.

A mistake? A mistake?

Surely not?

Once it’s written, it’s written,

It can’t be undone.

Yet here she is,

With a charm and a smile,

I feel like a fool,

Or do I?

My confusion.

I feel like I miss her,

When she’s not here,

But I made sure she wasn’t,

And now it’s not clear.

Now I’m unsure,

Do I want her,

Or don’t I?
