Camden started the evening celebration early with a glass of wine and light music. Prancing around his apartment, he could still feel the resonating glee of his earlier conversation with Mary. Camden was eager to get his evening started but first he had to place a call to Gwen to ensure his instructions to her were clear. Dialing Gwen's personal cell number was something Camden has done thousands of times prior so it was no wonder that he had the number memorized.
Gwen answered after the second ring. "Hi Camden what's up?"
"Hello there Gwenevere," he playfully said.
"Gwenevere here at your service my Lord," letting out a laugh, Gwen decided to play along. After all he was her secret true love and she longed for any bit of attention he gave her.
When she was in his company, she acted like a foolish little girl with a crush. How Camden hadn't caught on to her weird and quirky behaviour while she was around him was beyond her. Maybe he just thought she was strange and odd all the time. Maybe he just didn't care enough to even give her behaviour a second thought, or maybe he was so wrapped up in his own personal grief he hadn't even allowed himself to explore the option of having a relationship with another woman.
"Did you get all that?" Camden asked snapping Gwen out of her self-indulging daydream.
"I was dreaming! I was daydreaming to be exact. As embarrassed as I am to admit this, I didn't hear one single word you said," she confessed.
"Okay I get it, its fine. Come to my apartment now. There are a few important issues that I need to address with you," he instructed her.
Not having any kind of life, Gwen was always able to succumb to all of Camden's demands. She only wished his demands where of a passionate type rather than work.
"I'm on my way," Gwen replied in a monotone voice.
"Great and thank you," he said. "Oh and Gwen, wear something nice."
Gwen was a little shocked with his last comment. "What did he mean by wear something nice?" she thought out loud. Camden never requested anything of a personal matter from her before.
"He has either lost his mind or it's my lucky day," she said to herself.
Gwen riffled through her closet and came across a new outfit she bought a short while ago but never got the chance to wear it anywhere. The simple but elegant black dress could be used for multiple occasions either dressed up or casual. Seeing as Camden didn't offer any details on what sort of "nice" he had in mind, Gwen thought it would be best to pair the tight black dress with a nude wrap. This gave the dress a not so formal look if needed. She could easily remove the wrap to bring formality back to the outfit should it be required. The dress fell below her knee giving her availability to wear her knee brace without much visibility from others. Without the brace, her knee was unstable and she didn't want to risk falling especially when she was pairing her dress with gorgeous Anne Michelle studded t-strap pumps. Gwen always felt better about herself when she dressed up in nice clothes. Her militant posture and stroke of confidence proved to be her secret advantage when it came to Camden.
"Holy smokes Woman you look amazing," Camden said as he opened the door to his apartment upon her arrival.
"Thank you Camden. I don't think you've ever really offered me such a wonderful compliment before. In fact, I don't think you've ever really noticed much of me outside of work," Gwen added.
"That's not true at all Gwen. You are a very attractive woman but you work for me so it would be very unprofessional of me to gawk or say inappropriate comments while in the office," he confessed.
