~ chap 10 - worried sick ~

KENZIE P.O.V

I woke up with arms around me. I thought it was John so I muttered his name under my breath.

'Good guess. But it's Isaak.' The man replies, and I immediately curse. Why the fuck did I think it was John?

'Sorry. Did the movie end?' I asked him and he nods.

'It finished hours ago but you fell asleep and you had a strong grip on me so I just let you sleep. Not gonna lie, you looked adorable.' Isaak explains, and I blush.

'Um.... I should better get going now.' I say after a long minute of silence. He nods then lets go of me.

'Thanks for the amazing day Isaak.' I say, grabbing my clothes I left here then kissed him on the cheek then I walked out of his house.

'Don't you want a ride home?' He asks me and I shake my head.

'My sister hates it when she sees me with boys.' I reply, and he nods. He waves to me and I wave back. He heads back inside then I walk back to my house.

JOHN P.O.V

'Hey John?' Nadia says softly, and I look at her face.

'Yes?' I reply, getting close to her.

'I better get going. My mom is probably waiting for me.' Nadia replies, and John nods. He brings Nadia outside.

'I'll see you tomorrow okay?' I ask, and she nods, kissing me. She lets go after a matter of seconds.

'Bye.' Nadia says, then she leaves. I see Mackenzie in the distance, and I jog up to her.

'What do you want?' She asks me, crossing her arms.

KENZIE P.O.V

What the fuck does this son of a bitch want from me? I thought he wanted to ignore me cause I was hanging out with Isaak.

'Look Mackenzie, although I want to ignore you, that doesn't mean I can't worry about my best friend.' He replies, trying to reason with me.

'Look John. Thanks for your concern, but I'm fine thanks.' I snap at him, then head to my house. I heard him sigh then he walks back to his house.

Not gonna lie, I felt bad for doing that but that's what he deserves.

If he wants to ignore me, then so be it.

I open my door then heard Maddie immediately yell.

'WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?!'

'Jeez Maddie. I was at a friend's house okay?' I reply, trying not to yell back at her.

'Look Mackenzie, you better tell me who this friend of yours is.' She threatens me and I raise an eyebrow.

'Or else?' I reply, and she looks at me like she has seen a ghost.

'Mackenzie, who turned to you like this?' She asks me, and I laugh.

'What do you mean?' I ask her and she rolls her eyes.

'What I mean is, you used to be a nice girl. But now you've been acting like a bitch.' Maddie says, trying to stay calm and I roll my eyes.

'Look. I'm fine thanks for asking. I'm just living my life okay? So fuck off. I got this.' I snap at her and I head up to my room then lock the door.

MADDIE P.O.V

I hope she's not fitting in the wrong crowd, I call John on the phone and he answers after the first ring.
