2020 vision.

Looking all around, smelling all the sights and seeing all the sounds...
It's loud.

The laughter, the joy, the freedom and shouts of redemption.

Look closer, look under, pay  attention.

Is this who we are? Why separate by nations?
Why do we blame the youth? Why do we ignore the elders? Why to the very being of who we are.

Our heads are submerged underwater, we  bury the worst, ignoring the stabbing in our chests.

Even through it all... We find a way to smile. To laugh, to be unashamedly ourselves.

It seems for the first time I see through clear eyes. A 2020  vision, now  we're not afraid to scream out our joy.

We give ourselves permission.

The elation of freedom from chains, the workers and priests are seen dancing in the rain.

The rain no longer cries with me, no, the rain cleanses my eyes.
Helps me feel alright.

As dark as it can be, is as bright is as you see.

I see the paid in pain. I see the bright lights grow old. I see what is life.

I can hear the extravagant proclamations of elation. I see brothers and sisters alike screaming for their lives. I see how we heal, I see how we hurt.

I can only see so much, but my 2020 vision... I'd gladly give up my life, for those suffering in a faraway nation.

Our journey is never over, until we take the endless sleep.

Until then, I'll take my laughter, my tears, my doubts and fears and show them to those who care.

We build each other up, and the ability of compassion, is enough.

2020 vision.
