Maybe going out on a "date" with someone way older than me wasnt the move, but Ive been craving ice cream for the longest time.
And its not really a date if you dont call it one, a DATE date would be more romantic and with two people who like each other. This is not that

"laddies first" Reece held the door open for me as i walked inside
"thank you" I said as i smiled at him
At the counter of the near empty ice cream parlor sat a twenty something year old guy. He had blue eyes and dark shaggy curls.
"hellllo"
his voice was husky
"hi! I'll have a scoop of strawberry in a cup"
"and ill take two scoops of mint"
As Reece paid I stared at the guy ringing us up. He had this look. I think Reece noticed and quickly finished up and walked me outside.
We sat outside on a wooden bench.
"he was cute wasnt he?"
"what"
"i mean yall were flirty with you eyes"
"not really"
"sureeeee"
"i'm telling the truth, i liked his hair, it looked soft, but thats it"
"does my hair look soft?"
I looked up at him and put my hand in hair, it was fluffy and soft, also slightly vanilla scented.
"yes, very"
"good to hear"

The car ride was mostly silent, nothing besides some low tuned music, nothing special
"good things your house is across from mine"
"yeah, thats convenient"
I smiled at him and hopped out of his car.
"thanks for everything, it was fun"
"i can give you a ride tomorrow if you want"

I looked to the side and saw Jake walking home on his own, he looked down as soon as he saw me, then back up again once he saw me hug his brother goodbye.
before i knew it he was in front of us
"heYyYYyy guys watcha doing"
Reece punched Jake on the shoulder and laughed "chill dude, shes your girl isnt she? I wouldnt dare"
