My words slipped. And I know I made the right decision. The only thing that matters now if she agrees with me or not.
She fiddles her fingers.
She does that when she was thinking.
Venice looks at me, staring at my eyes deeply. Then she flashes me a smile. "Yes Calum. Let's run away together"
"Meet me here around 6 am bring all your stuff" I told her.
She nods.
I know.
I made the right decision. I won't make my life miserable again or Venice's.
I should thank Michael for his kindness.
At night, I nudge him while he is playing on his computer.
"Hey" I greeted.
His eyes still focused on his computer. "Yep?"
"Thank you"
"For?" He asked still focusing on the computer.
I sigh. "For everything of course"
"Well we've been friends for 10 years, Calum. This means nothing" he said. "Why you got so sentimental"
"Nothing" I muttered.
"Okay. Take a bath and eat I know you're hungry" he told me.
"Ay' ay' daddy" I joke
He made a disgust noise then laugh.
I should make the last joke with Michael at least.
I did not pack much because my stuff in Michael's house is only my guitar, a gray beanie, one black jeans and sweatshirts. All of that already packed in my bag. Luckily I got a few money, some from Michael's mother and I'm very grateful with that.
I write a letter for Michael and his family.
'Thank you for all your kindness and love for me. I love you back -Cal'
Yes, I still think this is a right choice.
The morning breeze swept my hair softly. I look back for the last time.
Then I close the door without looking back anymore.
