Amy's POV:
Liam's words kept running around my head. Karma had ditched him. Karma loved me... I-I just don't think I can gather up enough courage and will power to go after her. All the pain she caused me is blinding me and I'm not doing anything to stop it.
I was still sitting in the same spot when Lauren and Shane came back home from getting food for dinner. They had walked in laughing, which for some reason I had yet to believe since they had hated each other for the longest time. Once they noticed me, they bambarded me with questions as to why I was not moving from the spot. I willingly let them in on what had happened moments earlier.
Their reactions were what I had expected, surprised and well, happy for me.
"See Amy, it looks like your girl does love you just like you love her," Shane smirked.
"She's not my girl. I am not going to go to her. No, she cheated on me," I said.
Lauren sternly said, "Listen to me Amy. Shane and I know how miserable you have been this past week and don't you dare deny it because it's written all over you. You might fool all of the stupid people out therem but you don't fool us. Yes, we understand that she cheated on you and heck, we are the ones who told you about it, but we also know she makes you happy. She is the one that puts that twinkle in your eye. Stop blaming her..."
"You're the one who basically told me that it was her fault because she cheated," I say.
"Yes, you're right Amy. Lauren and I implied that, but we've been talking and well... We never told you everything about Liam and Karma," Shane began.
I glared at them, "What the heck are you talking about Shane?"
He gulped but Lauren was the one to speak, "Amy... Tony and Liam made bet."
What the heck!?!
They explained how Tony had bet Liam that he couldn't get Karma to sleep with him, after Liam had bragged about all the girls not being able to resist him. Tony chose Karma as the target and Liam agreed.
"So you see Amy. Karma was just a game. You and we all know that Karma is a very insecure person who wants nothing but to be liked and maybe that's why... No, that's most likely why she allowed herself to be seduced by Booker," Lauren said.
She was right! Karma loved it when people liked her because it made her feel like she mattered and it made her like herself a bit more. I remember how one time she told me that she loved that I loved her but that sometimes she wished everyone else would at least be fond of her. She explained how it wasn't that my love for her wasn't enough, it was that something inside of her wanted much more than the love of one person.
Wait! Booker came to tell me the truth but he... He played with her!?!?!
I furiously got up, marching out of the house.
Lauren and Shane both shouted out, "Amy, where are you going?!?"
Booker was not about to get away with this... Karma.
I'd deal with him later, right now I needed to actually have a decent talk with the girl of my dreams. I needed to sit down and actually listen to her, let her explain herself. I hadn't given her the opportunity to defend herself and that had been wrong of me. I guess I was just upset and too hurt to think straight.
