Karma's POV:

I sat at the lunch table, waiting for Amy to arrive. She had been asked to stay back by her 3rd period teacher to discuss something regarding a paper she had written. So, she had told me to come wait for her in the cafeteria. Of course, I was foodless because I wanted to eat with her.

I was looking down at my phone when I felt someone's presence. I knew it wasn't Amy because she would've hugged me from behind and that could only mean that it was... Liam.

        Ugh!

"Hey Karma. Is it okay if I join you?" He asks.

I don't want to sound rude or anything, but I snap back, "No. I told you that I don't want to be around you."

He doesn't leave and takes a seat next to me.

This guy needs to take no for an answer.

"Karma, I meant it when I said that I really like you. I know that you say that you love Amy... But maybe if she still doesn't want to work things out with you, we could give it a try..."

        I snarl.

        "Liam, look..."

Before I can finish the sentence, a booming voice interupts me, "Get the hell away from my girlfriend!"

Liam's head snapped to see the source of the voice.

        Amy was storming toward us.

        "Amy..." I began.

She looked at me, giving me a reassuring smile, and then went back to glaring at him.

I noticed that all eyes were on us and I knew this was going to end up in a mess.

She pointed a finger at him, "Didn't you hear me Booker?!? I said get away from my girlfriend! Don't make me force you!"

        Liam remained seated.

"Do you seriously want to do this right here Booker?!? I will only say this one more time, get away from Karma!"

I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I understand why Amy can't stand Liam, but it sounds like there is much more to it then I know.

Liam obeys, but he does not leave or make an attempt to leave, instead, he faces Amy.

"I don't know what your freaking problem is! I went to tell you about K..."

I am pretty sure he was about to say my name.

"Don't you dare bring her name into this! You're a hypricate Booker! You think it's fun to make bets with..."

        Amy stopped.

        "Just leave," she hisses.

When she sees that he isn't moving and that she has drawn in a crowd, she's at my side in no time, taking my hand in hers.

"Karma, we need to talk," she whispers as she leads me away.

Amy's POV:

I lead Karma into an empty classroom and motioned for her to take a seat. I didn't want her to find out like this but she had the right to know.

        "Amy, what's going on?"

I take a seat at the desk across from her and take her hands in mine.

"Karms, I... The reason for me basically blowing up back there is that... I found out Booker made a bet... A bet in which you were the target."

I explained everything that I had found out and when I was done, I could see all of the anger and hurt in her eyes.

        "I am so stu..."

I cut her off, "Don't you dare say that you're stupid. Do you hear me?"

I cup her face as she nods. I then place a soft kiss on her lips.

"Screw Booker. I promise you that I will not allow him to mess with you ever again."

The classroom door began to slowly creak open and in came non other than Booker.

No One's POV:

Liam walked in only to be met with a furious Karma.

"Get out!" she screamed at him.

        "Karma, let me explain. I..."

        "Get out Liam!"

Liam opened his mouth once more to speak, but this time it was Amy who yelled out, "I'm pretty sure Karma was clear about what she wants. Get out Booker!"

He looked at Amy, "How are you going to tell me that when I was the one who talked to you about what happened at my house on the day of her birthday."

Karma's eyes landed on a guilty Amy.

"That has nothing to do with this Booker."

"No, I want to hear about this Amy," Karma said.

So, Liam went ahead and told her everything he had told Amy the night before.

Karma couldn't believe that the only reason Amy had gone to make up with her had been because of what she had heard come out of Liam's mouth.

Amy tried explainin herself and kept repeating that there was more to it, but Karma didn't want to hear it. She ran out of the room, not looking back. Amy ran after her.

Karma was out of the school in no time and as Amy ran behind her, she noticed that a car was making its way toward and upset Karma. So, she sprinted as fast as she could to push Karma out of the way.

Karma landed on the ground as did Amy. A door slammed shut as the driver of the car got out to check the status of the car's victim.

Karma held her head as she finally sat up.

Her eyes flickered as she tried to figure out what had just happened. That's when she saw the motionless body.

        "Amy!"
