Chris:
"D-dad....it's Mel..shes fucking crazy." I say as soon as I'm outside. I couldn't help but cry, It was just so surreal.
"Chris, stop. She's struggling and just lost her brother." Shane reassures. "What happened?"
"She pulled a knife out on Taylor...she was so close to hurting her! She said she was going to slit her throat open if she doesn't shut up."
"Okay. I'll be there in five to pick her up. Continue with the rest of your day, your dad will pick you up after school."
This isn't fair, but I hold my tounge before I say anything else mean. "I love you.."
The call is already ended before then. That hurt. Mel gets treated more of a daughter to my dads then I do, just because her brother died. My mom killed herself and my father was an abusive alcoholic, but that doesn't seem to matter to them anymore.
Mel walks out from behind me. Jealousy rises in me at the sight of her. Why does she get to have more of a family then I do?
"Go to class." Is all she says.
"Fine." I practically spat at her. No emotion is shown on her face, other then that blank expression she always has.
Aren't you someone special..
-
The walk home from school was wierd cause Mel wasn't there with me. I walk into my house and see her cuddled in a blanket on her phone, with Shane sitting next to her. I don't know what came over me, the jealousy of how close they are getting maybe is what did it.
I throw my book bag at the front of the door and glare at Mel. "What the fuck is your problem?" She says.
"You."
Shane gives me the look. "Chris stop it. She's had enough things going on already."
"Of course you're on her side. Why not just adopt her too." I spat
"Christine, shut up. If something's bothering you, we'll talk about it later." My Dad scolds me.
I pick up my bookbag and head out the door. I couldn't stand the two or Melanie for that matter. Ever since she started living with us, my dads have been treating her like more of a daughter then me.
"Where are you going." Shane asks, starting to get up.
"To Morgan's. It's obvious you want Mel to be your daughter now, so I'll just go-"
"Christine, you're being ridiculous-"
I slam the door on my father's face and call an Uber. I text Morgan I'm on my way to her place , and in a few minutes I'm at her front door. I really hope Andrew isn't here- I spoke too soon.
He opens the door and laughs at my long face. "You look like you-wha? HA!You killed someone-HA!"
"I'm going to kill you if you don't open the door soon."
I don't laugh at his laugh, but brush past him to find Morgan. There's laughter in the kitchen. When I arrive, Morgan, her roommate, and these dude twins that I've never met circle around the counter with alchohol. Great. I came at the wrong time.
"Chrissssss!" Morgan yells, throwing her hands in the air, and clearly drunk.
I wave at everyone, anxiously, and sit at the counter, feeling definatley out of place. Morgan states many times that she was going to get black out drunk, and hide tiny babies in one of the twin's hair.
"Where are you going!?" She slurs, starting to get up as I start to leave. She falls, laughing.
I couldn't help but feel the need to take responsibility over her. No one else was, not even Andrew. It reminded me of my father, before he entered his abusive stages. Nicole and I would have to hold responsibility over his drunken self.
"You've had too much." I take the drink away from her. She frowns. Everyone else is too focused on themselves to see. "Let's get you to bed."
I carry most of her weight to her room, and plop her on her bed. I turn the lights off, closing and locking her door.
I sigh. Fuck. That was a whole workout.
Mom isn't here. She's never really here anymore, leaving Nicole and I to take care of dad. He's not old or anything, he just drinks a lot. It's always whenever Mom leaves and isn't home for awhile. He locks himself in his room or the living room, and drinks until he throws up.
"D-dad?" Nicole is cautious as she approaches him. I hide behind her, confused as to why she's so anxious.
"Ellen, is that you? Come here. Give me a kiss." Dad talks funny.
"It's Nicole." She flinches as he starts to get up, stumbling to the floor. She hurries to his side and turns to me. "Get some water. I'll get him to the couch. Once your done with that, get a trash can and pick up all the bottles. Mom doesn't like it when he leaves bottles around the house."
I nod silently and run to the kitchen. I could here dad vommiting, he's sick again. I return back with the water pitcher and a glass. Nicole is sweating, with an anxious, embarrassed look on her face. She's sitting next to dad on the couch, and dad has his hand on her upper thigh. She immediately stands up when I come in the room, tears are in her eyes.
I open the door and check on Morgan. She's not in the bed but by the side of the toilet throwing up. Tears start to spring in my eyes at the similarities between Charles and Morgan. They both drink until they get sick.
I don't want Morgan to end up like my birth-dad.
I go over to her side, putting her hair in a pony tail while she throws up. She sits by the toilet, exhausted. I call Shane but he doesn't answer. I call Ryland but he doesn't believe me. I call Jeffree, but he's too busy and told me to call him later. I should've known, life hasn't been treating him too well lately.
Then it's Garrett. He picks up on the first ring.

A/N: Jeffree and Nate broke up. I'm sad. They were perfect for each other. Vote and comment for the next part!
