The words kept playing in Shantell's head as she got ready. She hasn't seen Odell in over two years, and during that time he had managed to get switched to Cleveland and a girlfriend. Well, ex-girlfriend now.
So many things have happened in the past two years, but yet somehow he still remembered her and still tried to link with her. For such a busy person, Odell regularly came to Miami to party like any other celebrity. During the time he was here he would try to schedule link-ups but something always seemed to come up.
The last time he reached out and tried to pull up on her Shantell declined. She wasn't in the right space both mentally and physically. She became underweight, her acne got out of control and her job was taking a toll on her. She didn't want Odell to see her and so she declined right on the spot.
Odell was beyond disappointed but he respected Shantell's wishes. He went out that night with some other girl, and a week later they started dating. Obviously, Shantell was disappointed but she went on with her life and so did Odell. They didn't speak to each other in over a year, so it was safe to say that she was more than surprised when he commented on one of recent posts and texted her.
