Amethyst lowly sang her music as she washed up the remainder of her dishes. Mr. Kuznetsov should've been home an hour or go for dinner but he still wasn't there. Amethyst loved his children with every bone her body, and had the upmost respect for Mr. Kuznetsov but she was ready to leave.
Amethyst turned off the water and began to wipe off the counter top when she heard the front door slam, causing her headphones to fly off. Upset, she threw down the wash cloth to see what all the commotion was.
Dmitri stood in the middle of the living room yelling on the phone. Amethyst had recently started taking lessons so she couldn't understand what he was saying but she knew whoever he was on the phone with was getting the business.
She was getting ready to leave when Dmitri snapped his finger and pointed to a spot in front of him. Amethyst knew that he was her boss, but she didn't move towards him. Instead, she turned around and walked towards the kitchen.
"Just get that shit done, bye!" He yelled before he hung up the phone and stomped after her.
Amethyst could hear him behind her but she didn't care. She respected him, but it was times like this where her respect would instantly vanish.
"Who the hell told you to take the kids out of the building?" He said fuming.
"Who said that I couldn't? Last time we talked you said it was perfectly fine for me to take the children out for fresh air." She said as she began to clean the counters again.
"On the porch, not outside the building!" He said his voice raising.
Amethyst shook her head as she tried to fight back the tears. She hated how Dmitri always had the children cooped up in the penthouse. The only time they would leave the building was for school and it was currently summer.
