The red and white sugar baby website sat on my screen waiting for me to do something. My moral compass was screaming no, but my pockets we're saying yes. Talking to a guy solely for money has never been my thing, but with my student loans taking money out of my check every other week, and me being behind on rent I'm starting to reconsider.

I knew after college things wouldn't be easy, but I didn't know things would be this hard. I thought the endless nights and worrying would falter at least a little, but with me working more than twelve hours a day, receiving the sucky beginner's salary, my student loans, and living in a small New York apartment with rent that cost an arm and a leg; things we're going absolute shit for me.

But even though it was, I don't think I could be with a man for money. I exited out of the page and put my laptop away and started to get ready for my little girls' night.

Every month one of us would pick somewhere to go and that person would pay for everything. Last month I chose a beach picnic and had to buy the food, the moth before that my best friend, Bianca carried us out to the club, and now it's Veena turn.

Veena is the rich friend of the group. She goes all out for every occasion and loves treating others, so when she texted me to pack my bags I knew that we weren't just going to some club. What I did not know was that she scheduled us to fly to Milan, Italy.

She planned a whole two-day trip I by sneakingly looking at out schedule, to ensure that neither one of us could use that excuse to back out. It's a shame that she had to do all that work just for her to cancel it.

Very sad. Note the sarcasm.

I don't mind Veena paying for things, but I sure do mind her booking first-class airplane tickets and flying us out to a country we don't know anything about. If I don't have the money to buy a plane ticket back home then I'm not going to a foreign country, and that's just that. Folks, don't even seem to care when a black woman goes missing in America, what will be the difference in a foreign country? Not a damn thing.
