Both Naomi and Justin sat down at the campfire silently listening to their friends talk. Everyone could feel the tension between the two but didn't have enough courage to speak up on it. Neither one of them told anyone what really happened between them and they were going to keep it that. They didn't want to cause a rift in the friend group just because they weren't on good terms.
"So Naomi, how are things going with you and ole' dude?" Annalise asked.
Naomi didn't let it show but she was screaming on the inside. There was a time and place for everything, and right now was definitely not the time, not was it appropriate to talk about who's she's seeing. It pissed Naomi further off because she knew that if she didn't give them an answer they would pester her all night until she did.
"Who's this guy she's talking about sis?" Tyrone, Naomi homeboy (was more like a brother) said.
"This college kid I met at the bar a couple of weeks ago. Annalise gave him my number and we've been texting but it's really nothing." She said.
"Yeah right." Justin said underneath his breath.
Naomi heard him as clear as day but she refrained from saying anything. She didn't have time to argue with Justin about HER business. If he doesn't believe her then he doesn't believe her, Naomi didn't care.
"Who's the guy?" Vicky asked causing everyone to ooo.
"You know that light skin boy named Malik? The one that used to stay up at Richmond? Yeah, him." Naomi said.
Everyone nodded their head, taking the information in unlike Justin who felt like he was about to explode. "Him. Out of all people him?" Justin said, causing Naomi to roll her eyes.
