"Yo Kelly." Miracle softly said, her eyes locked on the starry sky.
Kelly kept his eyes on the sky and quietly hummed so she knew that he was listening to her. Unsure how to start the conversation, Miracle sat there in silence until she could muster up the words.
Both her and Kelly always went to the roof to escape the drama and mess their life came with. It was a time to put everything on hold and just breathe, but no matter how much Miracle tried, she couldn't .
Since senior year the two have avoided the topic of graduation and college. Whenever their family or friends would bring it up they would change the subject, but with graduation coming up in three months and the deadline for Miracle to choose a school quickly approaching, she needed to know their next move.
"Graduation and the deadline to pick a school is coming up..." she trailed off, trying to get Kelly to speak but he kept quiet.
"I narrowed down the school I wanted to go to. I was thinking about Bethune, Howard, or Boston University." She said looking at him.
Miracle waited for Kelly to say something, but he still was silent. "I know you don't want to talk about it Kelly, but we need to pick what school we're—" Miracle tried to say but Kelly cut her off.
