                                   Maraji

Maraji has always been a big of a daydreamer. The only thing that stops her day dreaming has always been her mother who snap her out of it and her father who always try to ease the sting of her mother's words.
At the back of her mind, maraji knows her mother really loves her and dotes on her except when she daydreams and she wonder why her mother changes anytime she daydreams.

She has also wondered why her mother has always told her not to cry and when she does cry, she never allows the tears to drop.

Maraji!
Maraji!!
Maraji!!!
Fiona, her mother calls rather urgently, she has never heard her mother sound that way, her heart was beating so fast as she hurried towards her parent's room.

Mother! What is it, you scared me, she saw her mother standing over her father, half standing and half cradling his body against her upper half.

Her mother, replied, pls go to the garden and get me the special flower have always told you about.

She hurried outside to pluck the flower just as she heard her father coughed violently, she was shaken, her father has always been the strong one, he has always been with them though thick and thin, has always been the glue that  stick the family together. To see her father lying down and looking so weak affected her more than she was willing to admit, but she forced her feet to move quickly and pluck the flower.

Just as she was hurrying in, tears fell from her eyes without her consent, in her hurry and worry she never saw the tears disappear after turning into golden dusts and she never saw the golden dust crawls towards the special flower and never saw as the special flower added 12 more flowers which is the same as her age..

She hurried inside beside her father just as he called her name. She hurried to stand beside him, dropping the flowers and totally forgetting about it and moving to cradle his hands in hers.
He made gesture for her to move closer and whisper into ears with the last of his breath.

Maraji, you're special to me and I love you very much, just as your mother does no matter how she may seem to you and you're very important to the world, you may not understand me now but always know I love you, when things seems to be hard always remember am with you.

Papa, paaaa why are you talking this way you're making me scared.

You don't need to be scared my dreamwielder, you're my strongest girl. The strongest in the world, her father whispered so faintly she almost didn't hear him.  She watched as her father drew his last breath. She dropped his hands in shock and stepped away. She totally forgot her mother was present with her in the room. She stumbled back and kept going till her back hit the door.

Her eyes searched wildly for mother, who was slumped against her father's chest and was looking at his face numbly.

She briefly wondered how she was going to go on living when the only love she had ever known was ripped away from her without giving her a chance to enjoy it more.

Maraji never noticed the tears flowing, she never saw her mother staring at her and never saw her eyes following the trail of the tears and never saw the tears turning into golden dust and floating out under the door towards the garden and never saw the flowers becoming wilted and brown. It never occurred to her why her mother never stopped her tears as usual.
