I told Moon I was going out for a while to explore. She simply told me to be careful and come back if I found anything serious. I nodded and turned to head out. I wanted to explore outside the territory which was something I didn't mention to her. I wandered over to the closest border marking they had and stepped over it. I breathed in the air and smelt a ton of different flower scents. The strongest being the beautiful blue flowers Moon called "Nightlock"
I kept walking and found a small cave with flowers all around the edges. It looked so beautiful. I decided to enter, it couldn't hurt. If there was an animal I know how to protect myself. The cave was a lot bigger inside than the entrance looked. I looked around and wasn't looking at my feet. I stepped into water and realized there was a huge body of water. I had gotten thirsty and decided to drink at it. It was very fresh and I started walking deeper into it so I could swim. I swam across for I don't know how long. But when I reached the other end the sun was close to setting. I sat on the small cliff and at the lowering sun.
I yawned and lied down and felt myself drift off to sleep while watching the sunset. I woke up and it was moonhigh. The moon was right above me. I wagged my tail and how beautiful it was. The light from it made the water behind me basically glow. I stared very closely and saw little golden dots. They looked like they were getting closer. Until I looked around me and they were everywhere! What are these things?? They're so pretty! I jumped and kept snapping at them. I didn't know what they were but I wanted to see. I wore myself out and flopped into the grass. A bunch of the tiny lights fluttering out from the grass around me. One of them floated over and landed in my nose. I sat up and tried to cross my eyes and look at it. It looks like a bug! I stared in astonishment as more of them started to fly over and landed on me. I managed to catch one in my mouth and tried to not bite it. I wanted to take it back to the camp and show my pac— er, family. I could see its glow through my teeth underneath my nose. It actually helped me see my way through the water.
I managed to reach the other side of the water and shook my fur off. The big seemed to stop crawling around and just sit on my tongue. I left in the cave and followed my stale sent and light of the moon back to the caves I called my new home. When I reached the entrance there wasn't anyone guarding so I just entered and went to mine and paw's little cave. I nudged my mate and watched her groggily get up, "It's only dawn. Where were you and why're you still awake?" She lifted up her head and then her eyes grew wide when she saw my mouth glowing. I opened it and the small little glowing bug flew out. "What the heck is that?!" I shrugged and watched it fly around, "I'm not sure I found them in this huge cave I saw. I wanna call them fire-flies though. Because they look like flies but when I first saw them they looked like small little embers flying from a burning fire." Paw watched the 'Fire-Fly' with amazement and I saw all sleepiness drain from her gaze. She turned to me and whispered, "You find the most amazing stuff. It looks so cool. I never knew of a bug that glowed like that." I smiled and curled up beside her and dozed off gently. The small journey had worn me out.
