Harry's POV

.

We arrived at the burning house, a small kitchen fire had engulfed the small cottage like home in flames. I got out of the truck and ran to the front door, there was a small family trapped inside the home. The other guys were hooking up the fire hose to the hydrant that was near the home. I touched the door knob and it was warm to the touch, Maverick ran up next to me before I had did anything stupid. I could hear them yelling for us inside, I couldn't hold on any longer. I knew I had to get the family out.

"Door breaching", I said before he even set foot on the porch.

"If oxygen gets into the home it'll be a fire accelerator. You know that Styles, let the boys put the fire out first", Maverick tried to calm my anxiety.

"Then let me go through a window. The door knob isn't that hot and I can hear the family calling out to us. We have to get in and get them out", I said.

"If we breach the door and you go in, we'll shut the door after you and if you get hurt then you all die", Maverick continued to try and reason with me.

"I'm willing to risk my life to save all of theirs", I said sternly.

"Cruz!!! While the boys put out the fire on the dirt floor, get the ladder set up for Styles to get the family from the second floor. Hurry!!! We have no time to loose", Maverick yelled at the guys at the truck.

I slipped on the oxygen mask that they gave us when we entered a burning home, once the ladder was in place I began to climb it. Since the flames hadn't reach the second floor I didn't think it would have affected the flames on the first floor. Once I forced the window open with my crowbar, I safely entered their home in search of them.

"Hello!! Are you guys there!! I'm firefighter Styles and I'm here to help you get out of this home", I called out.

"Over here", I heard a voice.

I had found the family, husband and his wife.

"Follow me!", I yelled and helped them reach the window.

"Please, my little girl. I couldn't find her once the fire started to get bad. She was last in her room, you have to find her!", the husband pleaded.

"I will sir, wait here while someone helps you", I instructed the two adults.

"Mack! Alex! Help these two down. There's a missing girl and I have to find her!", I instructed as I pulled out my axe and flashlight to go back inside the inferno.

"Be careful Styles!!", I could hear Maverick instruct as I climbed back into the home.

"Lily!! Lily! You there sweetheart!!", I called out trying to find the little girl.

"I'm over here", I heard her soft voice.

I ran to the room and found her, her cute pink room filled with toys made me realize that this was her room. I saw her curled up in the corner with her small arms wrapped around her knees.

"Hello sweetheart, I'm a firefighter and I'm here to rescue you", I explained as I took off my oxygen mask.

"Hello", she gave me a small smile.

"I'm going to put this on you, it protect you as I take you out of the house", I explained.

"Ok", she nodded.

Carefully I put my helmet on her head and my oxygen mask over her mouth. I didn't know how long she was breathing in all that smoke and I didn't want her to get sick.

"Alright love, up we go", I picked her up in my arms and we carefully made our way out of the home.
