Harry's POV

"I know it's seems redundant to mention this but I want you guys to remember to be safe. I know there are lives out there that need to be saved but I also want you guys to think of your safety as well. You might be sent out to a remote location by yourselves. We will try and use the buddy system, meaning groups of three will be sent out to one location of the city but we also have a huge set of fires so we also might be spread thin. Either way, be safe and if you need help let us know. Don't try to be a hero by yourselves, we don't want to find multiple bodies", chief Maverick lectured us.

"With that being said, I want you guys to come to the board and look up your names. We've already divided you all into groups and where we would place you. There are lists here with your name, who else is in your group, and the location as to where you'll be", Maverick pointed to the standing board behind him.

As everyone got up to see who was in their group and where we would be, I was stopped by the chief and his second in command. My heart dropped, I had hopped they didn't want to talk about Callie again. I was over it and ready to move on, I just hope they felt the same as well.

"Styles, we have a different assignment for you", Maverick began.

"Ok?", I looked at the two confused.

"We want you to be with the medics, helping out those who are injured and supplies", Cruz informed me.

"What? Why?", I asked getting kind of annoyed.

"We want to keep you safe, we value you and if anything happens to Cruz or I. Well we want you to take over", Maverick explained.

"With all due respect Mav, I signed up to save people's lives. It would be fair just to sit here and wait, I want to be put in and I hope you respect my decision", I responded.

"Fine. You'll be with Cruz and I, but stay close and don't do anything stupid".
