Chapter 4

Moonkit now Moonpaw slept peacefully in her spot. She gave a yawn and woke up, ready to start the day. Moonpaw stood up peacefully and slowly. She yawned again. Then Moonpaw felt a lick on her head. She glanced up quickly finding her mother grooming her. Moonpaw smiled warmly at her and pointed outside with her tail. Stonepelt giggled and nodded. Moonpaw looked outside and smiled. She quickly ran outside and laughed. "Come, Moonpaw. Even though you got your name last moon, we still haven't started training!" Stonepelt mewed to Moonpaw, but soon started laughing. Moonpaw looked at her mother with large, wide golden eyes. "R-really?" Moonpaw asked eagerly. "Yes, Moonpaw, we are training today." Moonpaw grinned widely and jumped around in excitement. "Now now, Moonpaw. Come here and sit." Stonepelt instructed. Moonpaw stopped in her tracks  and walked slowly toward Stonepelt and sat four mouse-lengths away from her. Her eyes full of eagerness and curiousness told Stonepelt that Moonpaw wanted to ask a question. "Yes, Moonpaw?" "Are we training nowww?" Moonpaw asked with playfulness. "No time to play, Moonpaw. Now watch me." Stonepelt got into a hunting crouch and stalked around. "This is the hunting couch, now show me how you do it. Don't worry, it's now that hard." Moonpaw's mother nodded and sat down with her tail curled over her front legs. 

Moonpaw had watched carefully at Stonepelt's figure. First, tail down. Moonpaw looked behind her. Yes, her tail was down.  Next, the crouch. She bent down and placed her paws in front of her. She placed one of her hind legs behind her and one under her belly. Then she started walking like that, her head down. "Great! But remember to go a little slower, you'll scare all the prey!" Stonepelt purred. Moonpaw nodded and smiled. "I also have some news for you after training, but for now, keep practicing!" Moonpaw nodded and started doing just that as Stonepelt watched her and nodded when she did something correctly and corrected her when she was doing something wrong.

Soon, they were done for the day. Moonpaw went into the twoleg den and lapped up some water. Then she crunched her food as the bland flavor ran on her tounge. She ignored it and walked over to her bed and took a nap.

"Moonpaw!" Moonpaw woke up to her name being called. It was her mother. Moonpaw smiled and ran over to her. "Hello, Moonpaw. Muddy and I have great news for you." Muddy came from behind her and grinned. They both looked at each other and then nodded. Then they looked at Moonpaw. "I'm having kits." Moonpaw watched with excitement. She bounced around and started to yowl out. "I'm gonna be a sister! I'm gonna be a SISTER!" Muddy and Stonepelt laughed. "Calm down, Moonpaw. The kits are coming in a moon or two." Moonpaw laughed and nodded at her mother. "Okay." Moonpaw was very excited. She was going to be a big sister!
