Kiefer
"Meeting adjourned. See you all next time." I said at lumabas na ang iba pero nagpa-iwan si Von.
"Haay. Kief, I think you need a break." Bigla niyang sabi. I chuckled upon hearing it.
"Maybe. But can't you see? The company needs me right now because of all the ongoing critical projects and I don't have time to relax." I said while checking my phone.
"Reasons, reasons, reasons. Bro, we all know that the company is doing well. So, there's nothing to worry. You can also delegate some tasks to the other executives. And as your friend, I recommend you take a break, even a short one, from work because you badly need it." He then tapped my shoulder.
"I knew you'd sooner or later say that. Which is why I asked Dad's permission if I can have a three-day-break from work." I then placed my phone in my bag.
"Really? That's great. Did he say yes?"
"Yup, he did. Actually, I'll be leaving tomorrow for Vigan." I said to him.
"Nice one, Bro! Ay, it's already 7 pm. I have to go now, my wife's already waiting for me." Sabi niya.
"Alright, tell Laura I said hi."
"Sure, Bro. Have a safe flight tomorrow." Then he left, which makes me the only person in the conference room.
So many things happened these past few weeks. And I can't help but feel frustrated, exhausted, and lonely all the same time. I wanna go home and rest but naisip ko, pagdating ko naman dun walang sasalubong sa'kin, unlike my friend. Kaya nakakaramdam din ako ng inggit kay Von because he has a wife he goes home to, unlike me...

Kinabukasan...
"@kieferravena: Touchdown, Vigan City."
I rode a taxi on my way to the hotel I will be staying in. And when I reached the place, I immediately checked in. Nagpareserve kasi ako ng isang room that's good for my three-day stay in the city. I chose to travel to Vigan because I've always love the history of the place.
I stashed my things on the couch and pasalampak nahumiga sa kama. I was staring at the ceiling when slumber enveloped me.

"Hey Kief, wake up." I slowly opened my eyes. I froze when I saw my wife smiling at me.
"You're alive!?" I hugged her after saying those words.
Confusion was plastered on her face. "Huh? Of course I am. Ikaw talaga Kiefer." She hugged me back.
"Damn it. I'm not dreaming, am I?" I said while still hugging her.
"No, you're not." She chuckled and broke the hug afterwards.
"Mika." I can't believe that she's here in front of me.
