Day 2 - Your Crush

I don’t have a crush at the moment, so I’m writing mine about a crush that I had like 5 years ago!

Dear Crush,

We’ve had such a strange relationship! It started off as absolute loathing (from me at least!) and then we became friends and then… well obviously since I’m writing this about you, I had a crush on you.

Never did I imagine I would like someone like you (nothing against you – you’re one of the most awesome people I’ve ever met!). You’re so carefree, mischievous, sometimes irritating and so flipping hilarious! All of those things are what I liked about you.

Our friendship started off because of our brothers, they were the best of friends and I hated that my brother made friends with yours because it would mean I would have to see you outside of school, but it turned out to be a great thing and I’m so grateful.

One of my favourite memories was going out on a dinghy with you (terrible mistake on my behalf trusting you with such things!!!) and just when we were all relaxed, you capsized it. I was furious with you for hours afterwards if I remember correctly, but that was such great fun.

I’m sorry for poking you in the eye with an umbrella that time when we were playing murder in the dark… but really, you should now better than to follow me in the pitch black and the turn a torch on, SCARING me so bad!

Do you remember that time on Easter when we had a treasure hunt at your house and it was pouring with rain? It ended up in a fierce mud fight. Also that Halloween when we went trick or treating around your house and were forced to drink ‘blood’, which you took off me and threw in the pool and then we had to run from the angry people who owned the house. It was scary at the time but so much fun! Everything I did with you ended up with either running from angry things, whether it was people or village dogs or even your older brothers! It was so much fun, I miss it!

I miss you! I haven’t seen you or talked to you in probably a year now, but I’m looking forward to seeing you again, hopefully soon!
