Dear Person,
I judged you the first time I met you, but it wasn’t in a bad way!
You’re my aunty, but you don’t feel like it. I met you for the first time last September and since then have seen you once more. You are my mum’s half sister, her dad’s daughter, but you and my grandpa never had a good relationship, hence why you didn’t have much to do with us.
I was scared to meet you because I was told about all the horrible stuff your mum told you about your dad. I was worried that you wouldn’t want to know us either and that she had ‘poisoned’ your mind about us too. But I didn’t take into account that you are now a grown woman and able to make your own decisions. One of those decisions was to meet us.
You have such a beautiful nature, which shows through. You actually remind me so much of my mum, which is weird because you hadn’t seen each other in over 30 years and never had anything to do with each other. You are both animal lovers, so kind and your mannerisms are so similar. It’s strange as well because you look nothing alike! Mum has olive skin, dark hair and eyes, is tall. You are so short, blonde, and pale with blue eyes. You are the polar opposites and yet so alike!
You have two daughters, who are so beautiful! You’ve raised them so well and are some of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met. I definitely saw Pop in Paris. It was nice, like seeing Pop again even though I never will. She inherited his gorgeous blue eyes that I would die for!
I hope we will see a lot more of you in the future; I would love a chance and being your niece!
Love Emily xx
