As Rory screams I feel a pit open up in my stomach. What happened, what did he see, what is going on? Hippolyta stares at her palm in shock, looking between it and Rory. Keira stands frozen by the doorway. Autumn continues to type away like nothing has happened. Rory's scream bounces in my head, tearing me up inside.

"AHHHhhh....." Rory's scream fades and he collapses. I barely manage to catch him, his body limp in my arms. Keira sprints over to us as I lower Rory into a chair, his tiny form pale and weak.

"Should I get someone?" Keira asks, pulling out a water bottle from her backpack. She screws it open, passing it to me. "The whole school probably heard, but I'm still going to get some help. Give him a drink of water when he wakes up, okay." I nod and she hops up, rushing out of the room. I couldn't help but feel surprised. I always thought that if something bad were to happen, Keira would be the first out. Instead, she's helping.

Hippolyta finally unfreezes, rushing to the back of the clubroom. She begins to rifle through a desk, pulling out a band-aid and some Neosporin. She fumbles to clean and cover her scratch, storing the items back away when she's finished. As she heads back over I turn my attention back to Rory. I can't help but notice how thin he looks. He'd always seemed a little more delicate and fragile than the other students, but I'd never noticed him being this skinny. I could see all his bones.

Odd, when we were hugging earlier he didn't seem to be this pale or drained. A hand on my shoulder causes me to turn, a blank-faced Autumn and a worried Hippolyta stand behind me. "How is he?" Autumn asks in an almost robotic voice, glancing at Rory.

"He seems to be in some kind of shock." Autumn nods her head, then turns, sitting back down in her chair. She picks up her laptop and goes back to work as if nothing had happened. I look at Hippolyta, who seems just as confused and concerned as me. Something is off about Autumn. As though she notices me staring at her she looks over at me and smiles.
