Rory

Everything hurts my whole body aches. My head buzzes with a white noise that sounds like hundreds of whispering voices. A purple light surrounds me even though my eyes are closed. Suddenly the light blinks out. What happened? I try to call out, but I feel trapped like I can't move like I'm not in control.

Then I feel something. I open my eyes.

Logan's face is the first thing I see. He blinks in surprise, his face switching between confusion and relief. I reach out to him, surprised as my arms don't move. I try again, my breath catching in my throat. I look down, seeing a jacket tied tightly around my body. Starting to panic I see Logan get up and turn away from me, looking even more confused.

"Logan! What's going on? Why am I tied up?" Logan turns back to face me, Keira now coming over as well. Why am I here? Did I do something wrong?

"I think you can untie him," Logan says, nodding at Keira. She makes an expression as if about to argue, but sighs and walks around behind me, loosening the sweatshirt. I sigh as I feel my arms fall limp to my sides. After a few seconds, I stand...

I almost instantly lose my balance, crumpling to the floor.

"Rory!" Logan rushes to my side, helping me sit up. He supports my limp body, pulling me to my feet. He looks at me and his eyes screw-up again, his face showing signs of confusion. "Your eyes..."

"What's up with his eyes?" Hippolyta sits on one of the desks, the school nurse in a chair beside her looking pale. I must have passed out or something. But then, why was I tied to a chair? "They look normal to me."

"That's the problem Lyta, they weren't normal a little while ago."

"Seriously my dude, that's bullshit," Keira says crossing her arms. She walks over to me and puts her face close to mine, squinting her eyes as she looks into mine. "They're fine, see? Nothing's wrong with them, he just looks a little drained."

"I said, they weren't normal awhile ago. I know they're fine now." Logan seems annoyed as he lowers me back into the chair had just fallen out of. He walks back over to Hippolyta, Keira, and the nurse and begins to anxiously speak to them, keeping his voice low. I don't know why, but it pisses me off. He acts like he's confident like anyone would believe that. I turn around and it feels like an electric shock runs through my body. Autumn stares straight at me, her blank face completely frozen.

I can't help it as my body begins to tremble. She still doesn't move, her fingers poised over her laptop, still as well. It's like I'm looking at a statue. I can't help but wonder why Autumn is like this. Even as her empty eyes stare into mine, even as she sits unmoving, I wonder who she is. I'd never met Autumn until Hippolyta had introduced her to the club, telling us that they had been best friends since they were children. She'd said they had been in the same class for years, but there had always been something off about that. I had been in Hippolyta's class, and I'd never seen Autumn until that day in the clubroom.
