A Beautiful Morning

Nagising ako nang maramdaman ko ang malamig na hangin na nagmumula sa labas at niyayapos ang katawan ko.

Even the thunders that roars from the sky ran a shiver through my system. The sun's up, I can even sense the bright light in those blurry windows that came from the pouring rain, na parang walang plano na tumigil.

When raindrops fell down from the sky, the day she left her, an angel cried. the woman cried and cried because no one was on her side.

But everything changed, in a blink of an eye. There's something more when he didn't say goodbye and when he finally left me, without leaving a clue or trace, I found him...I found Light.

I snapped out of my reverie when I heard a knock at my door. Gising na ba siya?

Tumikhim ako dahil pakiwari ko ay natuyo ang lalamunan ko pero hindi ko alam kung bakit.

"Pasok!"

Hindi nagtagal, narinig ko ang langitngit ng aking pintuan. Bigla kong naalala ang isang pangyayari doon sa isang horror movie.

"Okay ka lang ba?" Tanong niya at bahid sa boses niya ang pagkabalisa. Bakit masarap sa pandinig ang baritonong boses niya?

When we first met, when I first scan through his eyes, when I first saw his authoritative presence, I knew that he is intimidating and ruthless like a beast who had been embracing the darkness for a long time and searching for a light.

But I can never call him a beast because he wasn't the one who embraced such sheer darkness. It was me who is trying to find for something phenomenal and I didn't expect that I will find him.

I exhaled a deep breath, conveying that I am safe and relieved.

Tinanggal ko ang kumot at mistulang sumikdo ang puso ko nang magtagpo ang aming mga mata. As the rain started to cease and the sunlight started to lighten up my room. Nakita ko kung paano tumama ang liwanag sa mukha niya.

Tila ako'y nahipnotismo nang makita ko ang kanyang mga mata na kulay-kastanyo. It was mesmerizing to see his face that was kissed torridly by the bright sun.

"Good morning, Ashley," he whispered with his voice as if it's a melody from a track that can always make my mind at ease.

"G-good morning, Light." I muttered.

"Bumangon ka na diyan, I already made breakfast." Imporma niya.

Napamulagat ako nang marinig ko ang huli niyang sinabi. Marunong siya magluto?

"R-really?"

He chuckled. "It's not yet done, I need to fry the eggs." He declared. "So get up, sleepyhead or you won't taste my eggs."

Bakit iba ang rumehistro sa isip ko? Naku! Ang green ng utak mo, Ashley!

"Our baby must be hungry," he whispered. Napalunok ako nang sabihin niyang 'our baby'. Bakit muling sumikdo ang puso ko nang marinig ko iyon?

Kung sakali siya ang ama, mapapanatag ba ako? Matutuwa ba ako? Because his actuations are already telling me that he will be a good father to our child. But still, the world is vast and Light is not the guy who would take your virginity for pleasure and service. He's a decent guy and there's no doubt he will do a sin--

Muntikan nang malaglag ang panga ko nang ma-realize ko na shirtless siya.

I feel as if the blood rushed up to my face and I suddenly looked like a red tomato. Bakit nakabalandra yung abs niya? Masyadong mapangakit, hindi ko kaya!
