Chapter 2

"Rose. You know there are other jobs that pay you more than that cafe." Shadow said walking side by side with Amy.

"I know that. Ms. Vanilla needed my help. And i can't just leave her alone. Besides, Vector can't help that much since he's the baker." Amy replied.

"Alright, alright. But if you change your mind, you know where to find me." Shadow looked at her.

"I'm glad you're my friend, Shadow." Amy giggled. "Everyone thought you're heartless and cold. They just dont know you."

"Thats good." Shadow mumbled.

"Well, for you." Amy pouted. "Try making more friends."

"No need. You're enough." Shadow said.

"Mr. Sonic?" Sally peeked in his office seeing her boss busy.

"I told you to knock." Sonic said not looking up.

"Um. It's 10pm. Aren't you going home.. Sir?" Sally asked inviting herself in.

"No. I am busy. And i don't need to be disturb or any company." Sonic said.

"B-but. I-its almost midnight." Sally said insisting.

Sonic annoyingly put down his pen and looked up at her. His eyes are intense. "What do you want." He asked.

"I-i wanted to a-ask you out. For d-dinner." Sally said shyly.

"No. I am your boss. And i don't have time for this none sense, Sally." Sonic said coldly.

"S-sir. I just wanted to tell you something." Sally bowed her head slightly.

"What is it?" Sonic tried to hid his annoyance.

"Sir." This time, Sally fully face him. "I know you're my boss. But. You're also a civilian like me. Sonic. I like you. A lot. The day you asked me to work for you was the day i admire you. All this time we're together. My feelings grow. That's when i realized. I love you. Please."

Sonic only stared at her. "I know." He mumbled.

"W-what?" Sally blushed.

"I know you like me." Sonic said. "You've been giving me hints. I'm not dumb." He sigh standing up and slowly step closer to her. "Sally. I don't feel the same way."

Sally's eyes widen.

"I don't like you. Nor love you." Sonic said turning his back at her.

"J-just give me a chance. Please." Sally's eyes teared up.

"Leave."

"No i wont. Please Sonic." Sally pleaded.

"Don't make me use force." Sonic sat down on his office chair.

Her tears rolled down her cheek. "Y-yes. I'm sorry for d-disturbing you." She said and left.

He needs a break.

That night, Amy was on her way home. Damn the cafe stayed a little late this time. They can't close up since tons of customers are flooding the establishment.

Amy yawned. She's tired.

Sonic drove his Ferrari F50 along the dark road of mobius city.

It's now 12pm. Civilians are asleep.

How dare his secretary confessed like he'll return her feelings.

Sonic scowled at thinking this.

"This is really annoying.." He mumbled.

"Aahh!! Help me!!"

His ears twitch hearing a female voice calling for help. He hit the breaks for a moment, pausing in the middle of the road. He knew no one will complaint of his sudden stop. So he looked out his car window, making sure he heard it loud and clear.

Few silence passed. He heard nothing.

"Maybe its just my imagination." He said to himself. As he was about to hit the gas, another yell of help is heard.

"Help me!!"

He knew he's not imagining things. Scowling, he got down of his car immediately and follow the voice.

Walking in the middle of the dark. Amy is used to this. Although she's scared. But she ignore her thoughts and keep walking, not noticing the shadow following her.

As she was about to turn right. Someone grab her from behind and cover her mouth.

"Look do we *hic* have here."

Amy stared at the stranger fearfully.

Is this the end of her life now?

Tears filled her eyes but she shut them tightly.

No. She's not gonna show this bastard how scared she is.

As the stranger was busy looking for a dark alley. Amy took this chance and bit the hand covering her mouth.

"Aaaarggghhhh!!!" The stranger yelped in pain. Due to the pain, he let go of her and focused on his bruising hand. "You little brat!! I'll make you pay for that!"

Amy run and run. She's tired but her life depends on her feet now. She tried looking back noticing that the stranger was following her.

"Aahhh!! Help me!!" She yelled hoping someone will hear.

The stranger caught up with her and quickly grip her quills, making Amy fall on her knees. Her tears are now dropping.

"Now. Let's have some fun, shall we?" The stranger hold both her wrist with his left hand as he took off his clothes with his right hand.

"Help me!!" Amy yelled one more time. "Please.." She sob.

The stranger ripped Amy's clothes leaving only her bra. But before his hand proceed on ripping any of her clothing. A sound of crunching caught both their ears.

"Who's there!?"

Amy was lying on the ground with her front facing the dirty ground. With her tears stained cheeks, she watched her savior walked towards them.

"This is not my concern. But i do believe that what you are doing will cost you your life.." A male voice said.

"Show yourself! You coward!" The stranger yelled.

Out of nowhere, a gust of wind knocked the stranger out from Amy.

Amy was too weak to stand and felt herself getting unconscious. Although, one thing she saw. Her savior has a very green eyes like hers. She watched the shadow or her savior beat the stranger before everything turn into black.

Sonic stood with his hands inside his pockets. "Look at you. Another brainless species."

The stranger wiped his bleeding nose before glaring up at Sonic.

"Mind your own business punk! We're-

"We're?" Sonic cut the stranger. "More like you."

"Get lost!!" The stranger stood up raising his fist and about to attack Sonic.

But Sonic stood still. "Slow.." He smirked to himself and use his speed to knock the guy. He stare at the stranger's bloody body, leaving him alone. "An immortal like you can never beat someone a demon like me. Even for a hundred years." He mumbled and stepped away from his body. He saw the female, also lying unconscious on the ground. Immediately, he pick her up with her things and leave.
