Chapter 20

Everything was a blur.

He saw how she protected him.

He saw how he shot her.

He saw her unconscious body lying on the floor.

Everyone panicked.

Shadow shoved him out of the way.

Knuckles and Rouge tried helping.

And Venric was shocked.

"What have you done.."

Now, they're at the waiting area outside the emergency room, waiting for the doctor to tell them the news.

"She's a very nice person. You shouldn't let her go, my grandson." Venric said sadly as he slowly stood up and left Sonic at the waiting area.

As soon as Venric's figure disappear from his sight. His tears flowed.

"This is all my fault." He mumbled as he rest his elbows on his knees, bowing his head to hide his tears.

"None of this are your fault."

Sonic looked up shocked.

"Brother.."

"This is just how love is." Shadow explained sitting beside his younger brother.

Sonic didn't stop his tears. Instead, he hugged his elder brother for comfort.

"I'm sorry."

"We've taken the bullet out of Ms. Rose's body. She's now slowly recovering."

"Thank god." Ms. Vanilla sighed. "That girl is really brave." She said wiping away a tear.

"Ey, at least now we can breathe freely. You can tell Cream the good news. I'm sure Blaze and Silver are worried too." Vector said with an arm around Ms. Vanilla's shoulder.

"Excuse me."

Both species looked behind them.

"I'm Sonic the Hedgehog. Amy's boyfriend." Sonic scowled slightly.

Rouge and Knuckles slowly walked up behind him.

"These are my assistants. Rouge and Knuckles." He added.

"You're Mr. Sonic. The hedgehog with a royal blue fur color." Ms. Vanilla smiled. "Amy talk about you a lot."

"I see." He mumbled.

"The doctor said, Amy's recovering. We cannot visit her yet." Ms. Vanilla sighed sadly.

"I'm sure Amy will recover soon." Sonic said.

"We must take our leave. I hope when we come back tomorrow, we can finally see her." Ms. Vanilla smiled. "Take care Mr. Sonic, and you too young people." She said and left with Vector.

"Does she know you shot her? She seems really a nice person." Rouge frowned with her arms crossed.

"No one knows except us." Sonic said coldly.

"We'll keep it a secret, ROUGE." Knuckles glared.

"I know, i know. This is a matter between us. Only us. I wont blabber this." Rouge smirked as she gave Knuckles a flirty glance.

"Ugh. Why do people heal themselve when they even end up dying in the end." Knuckles chuckled when suddenly felt the air around him went cold.

He turn his gaze to Sonic who's glaring deadly at him. "Shut your mouth, Echidna."

"Y-yes sir." Knuckles stuttered in fear.
