in sickness and in health (part 1)

hello my lovelies ❤️❤️ please enjoy this highly requested chapter of sophitz oneshots 

Sophie opened her eyes and stretched. The sun was shining, the world was peaceful, and the Neverseen was defeated. It was a good day. 

Her imparter began to ring, and she picked it up, smiling at the face of the gorgeous Biana Vacker. "Hello Sophie!" She chirped. 

"Hi Biana." She responded. "What's going on?" 

"Wanna come over and play basequest? Fitz and Keefe are over here....doing who knows what." 

Sophie smiled. Ever since they had beaten the Neverseen, Fitz and Keefe had re-bonded, and had been doing crazy things ever since just to prove they had been best friends the whole time. For example, dropping pies on everyone that entered Everglen. Which meant Alden, Della, and the worst reaction of all, Biana. It seemed so unlike Fitz to do some of this stuff with Keefe, but when Sophie asked him about it, he just smiled and said, "It's nice to be able to relax and have fun again." Which Sophie totally agreed with. 

"Sure, why not." Sophie said, and Biana clapped her hands excitedly. "But no makeovers." Biana stopped clapping and whined, "Come on, Sophie!!! You look so pretty, and," Biana grinned mischievously, "It's fun to make Fitz melt when he sees you." 

Sophie's cheeks flared bright pink, and she heavily resisted the urge to tug out an eyelash. "He does not 'melt' when he sees me. In fact, I think everybody's laughing." Biana rolled her eyes at Sophie's obliviousness. "Oh fine, but still, come over. And quick, before Fitz and Keefe finish......their project." She said, looking over her shoulder as a loud crash echoed from behind her, and equally loud yelps followed. 

Sophie laughed. "Ok, I'm coming." She said, and hung up to get ready.

Sophie carefully knocked on the door, and when there was no response, she cautiously put her hand out to touch the door handle. Suddenly, the door burst open and standing there was Fitz, looking disheveled but still absolutely perfect and gorgeous. 

"Sorry." He said breathlessly. "Keefe wanted to prank you, but I didn't let him, so I had to wrestle him down." Sophie smiled and stepped inside, met with the glorious wonders of Everglen. 

....and of course, Keefe, who was struggling to get out of flex tape, which Alden had mistakenly bought in the Forbidden Cities and gave to him as a gift. When he looked over and saw Sophie, he grinned. "Nice to see you here in Everglen! Look, Fitzy here decided I would make an excellent decoration! Don't you agree?" 

Sophie laughed. "Sure you do. I came to play Basequest, though....it'll be fun to play with you in there." Keefe's eyes widened and he groaned. "Come on, Foster. At least I'll be on your team." He grinned. Fitz rolled his eyes. "Sophie's going to be on my team, duh." He shot a glance at Sophie, "Right?" His teal eyes glimmered, and Sophie smiled. "Well......" She said, and couldn't help but blush. 

Keefe groaned, "Um, Lord Hunkyhair is still in your presence. Save the Fitzphie staring contest for somewhere else."  

Sophie rolled her eyes at him. "Where's Biana?" 

"Right here." Biana said, appearing from behind her, and Sophie yelped and tripped into Fitz's arms. He laughed and helped her up. "You okay there?" Sophie blushed and nodded, too flustered to say anything, especially because Biana was giggling and Keefe had a smirk plastered on his face. 

"Let's....just get to playing Basequest." Fitz said after a long moment of silence. "I call Sophie!" Everyone screamed at once. "Um, no," Biana said, waving a finger at both of the boys. "Girls versus boys. That's how it works." She linked arms with Sophie and they disappeared, with Fitz and Keefe protesting loudly. 

"Well, I guess we're on our own." Fitz sighed, "So you better cooperate, Keefe."

Sophie and Biana slunk quietly through the forest, hidden by Biana's vanisher powers (a/n: idk much about basequest so deal with it).

"We should split up. I'll deal with Fitz, you deal with Keefe." Sophie said, making the decision quickly. 

She could practically hear Biana's smile spread across her face. "Ok, have fun." Biana  said, unlinking  their arms and disappearing into the darkness. 

She searched for Fitz, reaching out her mind to look for him; it was a risky option, but she decided to try it anyway. She eventually found him, but got no mental response. I wonder why he's blocking me out. Or how he even can block me out. 

She found the clearing he was supposedly in, and didn't see him. He should have been here, and she reached out to him again. 

Fitz? 

She looked around one last time, then gasped. 

On the ground, near her feet, lay a body, bleeding out of a heavy wound on his side, lay Fitz. 

you've made it to the end! sorry about the cliffhanger, i'll update sometime next week.....well actually maybe part 2 will be 2 weeks from now......
