A touch is felt,
A tear shed.
A simple embrace,
Helped to clear,
Mist that haunted my mind,
My thoughts, a tangled mess.
Wounds deep in my heart,
Awaiting a simple kiss.
A yearning for happiness,
A peaceful life.
A chance for others,
To get to see,
What's behind,
My simple smile.
Secrets spoken,
Softly, in their ears.
But hardly heard,
For silence,
Most don't hear.
A simple embrace,
Helps me feel.
A pinch of happiness,
That is really real.
Calm, somehow.
Not like the mess inside.
I don't mind how long I can hide,
The mess behind,
This skin that hides my heart.
I've yet not fallen apart.
