kio opened the door, causing light to fill the corners of my eyes, where the blindfold wouldnt cover. he grabbed me,
and brought me into a room. he lifted off my blindfold, and looked me in the eye.
"my dad killed gabis parents. i can do the same to you. youre not taking me seriously. i could kill all of you and noone would find out." kio said. i stood there, shocked. gabis parents?
"but wh-" i tried to speak, but before i could, he slapped me round the cheek, and put my blindfold back on. i was speechless.
he got me, and gabi, and dragged us somewhere.
"stairs... dannys room... bunker. bunker?" gabi was commentating.
i heard the latch of the bunker flick around, and kio pushed me in. he led us down, and i heard the door open. he sat me down on a chair, and tied me up. it was silent in the room.
"dont move" kio said, before closing the door, and i could hear his footsteps fading.
"great." i said.
"shhh!" cleo said.
wait what?
"who the fuck?" gabi asked.
"is that..." she was crying. she tried moving around. i heard someone stand up.
"its me." cleo said.
"cleo!" i started to cry.
"shes alive." elle said. my baby, was still alive.
i felt someone come over and untie me. i lifted off my blindfold. we were in the room under dannys room, the same one as earlier. danny and elle were there too.
and cleo. in the corner, she was sitting on the floor, still stabbed about 10 times. she was very pale, probably close to death. i rushed over to her, and she forced a smile. i let my tears fall as i thanked anything that she was alive. i got out my phone, in the hope that there was service.
one bar.
i dialled 911, as we were in florida. i put the phone up to my ear, and it started to ring.
"911 whats your emergency?" i started to freeze up. kio was coming down the stairs.
"um.. i ca- i dont-" i managed to blurt out the address of gabis house before i hung up in fear that kio would take my phone from me. i sprung up and grabbed gabi and elle before bringing them down to cleo.
"his dad killed yo-" i tried.
"nO!" kio shouted.
i heard a shot ring out.
and then another one.
i felt a hot pang in my shoulder. warm liquid started to trickle down my back. my vision became blurry, and the shouts of my name became hazy. i fell to the ground, and i closed my eyes. my thoughts became jumbled.
"remember me."
"i love you laiya."
"i almost died, dont you try it too."
"i'll miss you, my baby."
