the next few hours were a blur.
elle went downstairs to go and open the door. i didnt trust gabi alone in there, with a broken window. she told me something laiya said.
"kio told me his dad killed your parents."
it was a shock.
the police then flooded the property, and i later found out laiya had called the police before kio came into the bunker. they grabbed us, and separated us. it was horrible not being able to see everyone, i missed them, and wanted to protect them, like i had been doing all night.
the ambulance soon arrived, and they treated the cuts on my arms in my room, as they werent extremely serious. they bandaged them up, and took me outside. as i was walking down the stairs, i knocked over three glasses of water at the top of the stairs.
my mind was brought back to the evening the day before. gabi was walking up the stairs, with waters for the girls. if she wasnt, she would have stayed in her bedroom.
everything would have turned out so different than it did.
tears began to fall down my face.
i was embarrassed, i tried wiping them away. but they all saw me.
"hey buddy, its okay. from the looks of it, you and your friends have had a tough night." one of the officers from downstairs said. i nodded, and walked down the stairs.
everything is going to be okay.
gabi and elle were taken to the hospital, gabi was treated for STI's she got from kio, and elle was given anti-sickness meds. elle got off lightly.
cleo went to the ICU, and was treated for her stab wounds. i was later told she was lucky to make it out alive.
elysia died that night. she had been in avas room, ready to come and steal me from laiya, when kio broke into the room. kio was trying to steal things, and possibly hurt us, but elysia saw his face. he didnt want anyone knowing it was him, so he killed her.
it hurt, since i had known elysia quite well. but it was okay. just sad.
kio also died that night. or should i say, nick. turns out kio had a twin, who was posing as him. kio had no idea what was happening. nick was at the party, kio was at his house, thinking gabi hadnt invited him. but the police havent been notified yet. we found about this by contacting 'kios' parents, only for them to tell us kio was safe at home. we figured out the rest.
laiya. lots happened to laiya that night. she was taken to the hospital, into the ICU with cleo. she almost died. her and cleo both spent around 2 weeks in there. gabi had to go to therapy, after she found out about her parents. so did ava. elle and i were fine, and ava came home from her trip away. all of our parents were in touch with us, and a few even came to visit.
laiya took a long time to heal. she was very hurt. physically, and mentally. it was hard. i couldnt see her for a long time. we all went to avas friends house, since gabis house was a crime scene. we stayed there.
i had nightmares. bad ones. ones of laiya, ones of gabi and elle, ones of cleos near death experience, even ones of nick. it was hard, expressing my emotions. it makes me feel weak. but i managed to tell gabi. she helped me, with things her therapist told her. she had the nightmares too.
so did elle. we were all in the same boat. feeling like someone was always after us. knowing there was someone that looked exactly like nick was off-putting.
one day, i was visiting laiya in hospital.
it was the first time she had been able to talk to me, as she had been on a breathing machine the whole time.
"hi danny." she said. her familiar voice gave me chills. the last time i heard her voice, she was about to be shot by nick.
"hi laiya."
