"I love basti, I really do." grace said, looking at basti. "But minsan, I think of what my life could've been, if hindi ako nabuntis ni brent, would we be friends? Kakalimutan lang ba namin yung nangyari and act normal?" she said, smiling at ricci
"mahal mo ba si brent?" ricci asked, natawa ng bahagya si grace, she then ran her fingers through her hair.
"In some ways, I know I love him. But there are a lot of things that I don't know about brent, how do you love someone na hindi mo naman kilala diba?" ricci nodded at grace's statement, after the little confrontation with brent, and with grace making ricci stay, padabog na umalis si brent ng unit.
"Brent was a breath of fresh air, grabe naman kasi yung sungit niya that night, but turns out big softie naman pala siya." grace laughed, but there were tears in her eyes. "tangina di ko na alam." grace said, nabigla si ricci sa pagmumura ni grace.
"I was always sure of what I wanted, I wanted to study in UST, I wanted to go to that party with renzo, I wanted to have sex with brent, and I definitely wanted to keep the baby, but what if I all of those didn't happen? Paano kung sa UP or Ateneo ako pumasok, what if I never met brent?" Grace asked ricci, nagkibit balikat lamang si ricci.
"Grace." Lumingon sila pareho sa nagsalita, it was brent, holding a bouquet of flowers.
"tara grace" sabi ni brent, looking directly at grace.
"tara saan?" Grace asked, lumaki ang ngiti ni brent.
"papakilala kita kay mama, tsaka si basti, tara na."
"But its almost midnight brent."
"hindi ko na kaya." brent started "so please, come with me and let them meet basti and you" tumingin si grace kay ricci but he wasn't there, bigla nalang siyang lumabas with basti and a baby bag.
"Tita cindy would be very happy." sabi ni ricci, tumango lang si grace.
"Can I make ayos myself first?" She asked brent, binuhat ni brent si basti and he nodded.
Tumango lang si ricci at ngumiti kay grace, habang umupo naman si brent at kinarga si basti.
"Okay na?" Grace asked watching brent put basti sa carseat, tumango si brent at ngumiti.
"I'm breaking up with mau tomorrow and i'll stay sa condo unit." Brent informed grace, he was putting his seatbelt on, ngumiti si grace at sumulyap kay basti.
"What changed brent?" she asked, her voice above a whisper.
"Hindi ko alam, when I saw you and ricci parang nabaliw ako." brent answered, his focus on the road.
"I'm scared." grace admitted, sumulyap si brent kay grace habang naka red yung stoplight.
"Why?" brent asked, nagkibit balikat si grace.
"sabi nila, masungit daw mama mo" she replied, ngumiti si brent at umiling.
"may apo na siya sakin, I'm gonna be her favorite na." brent boasted. Tumango lang si grace and she prayed na maging okay ang lahat.
"chill grace, mama will love you and i'm sure she'll love basti." Hindi sumagot si grace but she hoped na maging okay nga ang lahat.
