"nasa ospital si elle." Was the first thing brent heard from ricci, walang hi, walang hello, straight to the point.
Brent cursed at dali daling ibinigay si basti kay cj.
"ayoko." Cj answered, alliana with pity in her eyes.
"parang awa mo na, ang layo lang nila mommy, kukunin ko siya agad, I just need to check up on elle." brent pleaded, basti looking at them, sucking on his thumb.
"brent, hindi mo naman ka ano ano si elle, why the fuck are you so worried?" Cj asked, brent but his lip, not wanting to answer.
"mahal ko siya." he finally said, nawala ang pagkasimangot ni cj at kinuha si basti.
"bilisan mo ha?" he reminded, brent thanked him before running into his car.
When ricci called and informed him na nasa hospital si elle, brent went crazy with the overthinking.
"No, grace, wag mo akong iwan, wag mo kaming iwan ni basti, sabi mo sasagutin mo ako today? grace wake up" brent cried out, hugging grace's lifeless body, crying his heart out.
"Grace, sabi mo sasagutin mo ako ngayon, hindi namin kaya ng wala ka, grace wake up mahal." he pleaded, caressing grace's face, buhat buhat ng mommy niya si basti, and his kuya bryce calling an ambulance.
"tama na joke mahal, gising na, gumising ka na." Pagmamaka-awa niya, losing his voice, but grace didn't even twitch.
Cardiac Arrest was what killed grace, she died in her sleep. And that scared brent, na a person could slip away that easily, walang paalam, bigla nalang mawawala. He didn't have the chance to ask grace to marry him, and if he lost elle without saying what he really felt for her would kill brent.
"ano nangyari?" brent asked ricci, holding him by the shoulder, tumingin lang si ricci sa baba.
"hinahabol ko siya, and she was laughing, brent" ricci inhaled "I'm really sorry, her eyes were closed, ang bilis ng mga pangyayari, hindi ko naman ginusto" ricci cried out, tinignang mabuti ni brent si ricci, may mga boba pearls pa sa damit nito.
"ano nga nangyari?" brent asked again, annoyed, umiyak lang si ricci.
"arte mo." sabi ni elle, rolling her eyes and thanking avery who helped her with her forms.
"gumagana workshops?" ricci teased, avery rolled her eyes and helped elle with her bag.
"gago!" brent said, at binatukan si ricci,
"ano pa masakit sayo?" brent asked elle, hugging her.
"wala?" elle replied, looking at ricci, ricci shrugged and smiled teasingly.
"tumama lang ako sa pader tapos na-twist ko yung ankle ko ng very light" elle replied, tumango si brent, smiling.
"parang tanga kasi si ricci, binabato ako ng pearl" pagsusumbong ni elle "galing sa bibig niya brent, tama ba yo" she said, which made brent laugh.
"okay ka lang talaga?" brent asked, tumango si elle.
"kanina pa tanong ng tanong" ricci said, pinalo naman siya ni avery.
"si basti? saan?" elle asked, looking at brent.
"Cj, nagmadali ako when ricci told me na na-ospital ka" Brent admitted, sinipa ni elle si ricci sa ilalim ng table.
"OA ka ricci" elle said.
"wag ka lalayo sakin." bulong ni brent, tumigil sa pag-nguya si elle.
"ha?" she asked looking at brent, ngumiti si brent.
"I'll court you."
