STARTING BELOW, THIS IS THE X READER JUNK.
I love x Readers as much as the next person, but not as much since I'm focused on a real love life. But nevertheless, I'm sure those who like x Readers appreciate a decent one, right?
But like most of the x Readers don't have any sort of originality whatsoever??
I mean, here are common ideas that make me wanna leave the story right away ("Blader" is love interest, by the way):
* Y/N and Blader meeting and automatically falling in love
* Y/N is the rival to Blader (to a greater extent, they have an intense rivalry)
* Y/N moves to Japan, meets Blader, then falls in love
* Y/N joins the Snake Pit and suddenly becomes a Masked Blader
* Y/N takes attention from other characters (I mean... Valt's important friendship with Shu is the reason why we have BeyBurst. Just cuz Y/N is here that doesn't mean Shu abandons Valt for fuck's sake —)
These clichéd ideas when not done well turn me off. Especially with bad grammar, they make me leave the story and just find something high quality to read. I mean, when I wrote x readers, at least I try to add in unique situations besides "Y/N kissed Lui after battling him." This is why I have x Readers about video gaming with Daigo, Valt spazzing out after his gift for you is ruined, etc.
Something new can make people interested, too! Finding something new to read besides the same old idea draws people in and you get more readers that way.

Um, I'll admit, the same points can be said for OCs. You can literally replace "Y/N" with "OC" and you get the same idea I'm trying to say.
Same clichés, same unoriginality, etc
Literally, x Readers and OC x Character are literally cousins!
But here are some unique things I see about OC x Characters...
* Um some OCs are made to be albino like Shu? What the fuck. Like I said with albinos, do research on them before you make one. Also, I'm not a huge fan of people making an albino sibling for Shu to pair them up with Lui... You fangirls make it sound like Lui has a fetish for albino people. Gross.
* UMMM OCs with English names? In Japan? I mean, unless they are foreign students or immigrated to Japan, then I see no problem. Or if they are like Zac, who uses an English name as a superstar alias (his real name is Japanese). Unless you have an excuse, Japan ain't America. You're going to have to give your OC a Japanese name.
* Love isn't everything. Shu doesn't want to spend 24/7 with his girl at a café and flirting. HE WANTS TO PLAY BEYBLADE AND BE WITH VALT TOO. So if you're going to center the entire story of yours to be about flirting, at least mention once or twice that Beyblade is still important to them. It's Beyblade, not Baeblade.
* Do you love it when someone gives their OC a skirt even though they're Blading most of the time? I don't think they notice...
* Please stop putting OC x Character into an x Reader collection. Your readers came for the x Readers, goshdamnit. They don't wanna read about a someone's crap OC kissing a character. Make a separate book for that.
