Immature fans + A show aimed for younger audiences = Fucking weird stuff that can pass as cringe.
Strange, but it's true. That's pretty much why I'm in fandoms for media targeted towards older audiences, because strange things come from immature fandoms.
I mean, no kidding. This Beyblade Burst fandom comes up with weirdass ships.
I will not list ships that are somewhat normal. I may not be a huge fan of things like Shu x Lui, or Silas x Free, but those are normal and I see some interaction between said character, so I get why people ship them. Of course, more ships I don't like but those are normal too.
Let me explain to you some of the weirdass ships I don't like.
Valt x his siblings
Please, NO. Especially when — if you are considering shipping them Canon wise (but I don't get why one CONSIDERS incest in the first place) — Toko and Nika are quite underage to be in this sort of thing. Incest is just highly disturbing in general, but the fact that Valt is not the type of do illegal shit like incest... is just no. Come on, no one in their right mind would ship incest. Unless you guys like some strange child porn with siblings, then go for it. Valt likes Beyblade much better than incest, kekek.
Theodore x Every child Blader in the series
Theodore x Shu. Theodore x Valt. Theodore x Kristina. Theodore x every child in the series. Yes, these exist. All those dark fanart featuring some lewd things between Snake Pit!Shu and Theodore grosses me out. Fuck, I think I had to bleach my eyes at the forbidden fanart of Theodore x Valt.
ALL OF THIS IS WRONG. I know I like Theodore Glass as the antagonist, but come the fuck on, pedophilia is wrong. It has been said that these children are no more than thirteen during the Evolution series, with Kristina being a teenager. Heck, her cringing whenever Theodore is around gives pedophilia vibes like she's afraid of him (I know very well that's not intended, but that makes skin crawl).
Like, who knows tf how old Theodore is. It is okay to ship him with a character of an unknown age, say, Kurts or Norman (considering those two look fairly older than children) but aged up.
Please, no. It's okay to make this a dark plot in a grimfic of something, but to ship this for real and be like "uwu" makes you look like a clown. Hell, please no.
Phi x Hyde
Okay, I know this should be listed under Valt x his siblings for the same reason, but this thing makes me wanna kill whoever thought this up.
Not only is this incest, I just.... literally can't stand how these two would be perfect for each other. If any of you are looking at Phi at a factual angle, it should be noted that he is pure evil. He's dark in a sense, and aims to tower over all the others and would give no fucks about whoever is in his way. It looks like he would care about no one, really, nor even cares if they die in his hands or such.
Especially when it comes to his brother, Phi literally gives no fucks. Shipping these two is not only incest, but with chemistry added in, POOR HYDE IS GOING TO SUFFER. My heart already broke and fired up when incest is behind this, but it blew up even more when I saw multiple fanart of Phi torturing his brother... and this is supposed to be a SHIP?!
Who in their right mind would ship something so messed up as this? Never have I seen Phi be lovey dovey or somewhat caring of his brother in the series. Crazy and fucked up to ship awry incest.
