Some of them are really unoriginal.
Like, every OC sibling I see is either related to the Supreme Four and the main characters. I'm not saying it is bad to have that idea, but it's like everyone has the same idea.
Let me tell you what I mean
Why is every sibling OC a girl
I'm not saying it is bad and I am not being sexist.
But most people make a girl OC just so they can ship her with a character. I have a girl OC, but she isn't going to be shipped anytime soon.
Then she turns out to be nothing except She is the only girl Blader and is X's famous sister! She has a crush on his rival! XD XD
Like where can I find a story with a complex female sibling OC? Those are rare. How about a boy OC, too?
Why are Shu's siblings ALWAYS albino?
Albinos are rare. Albinism is usually a recessive trait, meaning they're usually hidden and won't show up.
So why are Shu's siblings usually albinos??? Chances are, the way Shu was born was completely accidental and his parents had another hair and eye color, like brown, black, etc.
YOU CANNOT HAVE ALBINO SIBLINGS UNLESS THEY ARE A TWIN OF SHU!
Speaking of which, people do make twins. The problem? Shu's twin is nothing but basic and seems like the female version of him. She isn't complex, and she is made to seem "cute" and basic. Almost every Shu's Twin OC I come across always seem similar to one another, even when creators aren't friends with other creators.
Albino characters aren't for fetishes and fantasies. It's like depression and diseases — albinism isn't to make you look cool SO DO YOUR FUCKING RESEARCH.
Come on show me an OC who isn't albino but is Shu's sibling.
Supreme Four
Bruh almost every Supreme Four OC I come across is like apart of the non-existent 'Supreme Five.' Or they're a famous Blader. Or they're the object of crushes, like Shu has a crush on Lui's sister.
That isn't a very original idea but you can improve on it.
Don't make her basic! Add interests and interesting facts so she doesn't seem similar to other sibling OCs! Don't make her design a copy and paste of the Supreme Four! Add some unique traits and accessories!
I'm tired of seeing Lui's Sisters with the same flaming hair. That kind of destroy Lui's unique aspect of being the white dragon.
Other characters
Be unique! Focus on other characters and make siblings for them! Don't limit yourself to main and important characters! Maybe they could be actually fun, and you don't have to focus on romance.
For example, I made a sibling for Norman, though the idea occurred from reading a friend's fanfic. To break the Beyblade fandom stereotype of OC = Love interest, Norman's sister isn't a Blader who is meant to be shipped with a character. She's just an oddling who is there to contrast Norman's darker side, and is crucial to some plots.
It wouldn't hurt to make a sibling of a minor or supporting character appearing in the series!
There's too many sibling OCs of Shu, anyway.
