I ran inside Taro's house and closed the door behind me. Taro was sitting in his recliner reading the paper and Elliot walked over to see who had come in and saw me. He looked at me but didn't say anything about the dress or the mask. He simple walked over and looked me in the eyes.

"What's wrong Rosalie?"

I tried to smile but my eyes started to blur up and my weak smile didn't convince him at all. My lower lip started to tremble and wet tears streamed down my face. I didn't wipe them away and I didn't try to fake it anymore. Elliot looked at me and gave a weak smile. I threw myself into him and wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my head in his shoulder. He stood there in surprise but wrapped his arms around me. I started to sob into Elliot's shoulder and soon his white shirt was wet with tears where my head was but he didn't care.

I heard footsteps come from the kitchen and living room to the entry way. I heard Felicia's soft footsteps, Taro's heavy boot steps, and Natalie's hurried half run. I felt a hand on my shoulder but I shrugged it off. Elliot started to rub my back with his hand and I nuzzled my face into his chest even more. I heard Natalie's soft voice waver with concern.

"Rosalie, what happened?"

I didn't answer but I didn't need to. Elliot's voice sounded loudly from where my head was but it was comforting.

"Something at Sabrina's. They had their get together, call her and ask what happened."

Natalie nodded at her brother and looked at him in surprise. Elliot hasn't been one to take charge of situations before but now he seemed to be in the zone.

"Elliot," Taro started to speak.  "I can take her if you want."

Elliot hesitated and then looked down at me for an answer. I held on even tighter than before and I could feel him chuckle slightly. He shook his head no and Taro walked back into the living room and Felicia back to the kitchen. Elliot stood where he was and I wasn't planning on moving. I felt his right hand slide down my back and soon I was swept off my feet and being cradled in his arms. He started to walk into the living room when I finally spoke.

"Elliot, I don't want them seeing me like this."

I muttered this into his shirt and didn't expect him to understand me but he must have because he made a turn through the living room and opened the door leading to a room I didn't know. He walked in and closed the door with his foot.

The room was dark from what I could tell. Elliot walked across the room and sat down on something big and soft. He held me there for a while in silence and then pushed his legs up and scooted to the middle of what I now knew was a bed. He laid his head down on the pillow and stretched his legs out to the foot of the bed. I adjusted myself to be laying by his side. I had my head on his chest while laying on my side. All I could hear was his steady breathing and his heartbeat.

"Are you okay? I mean you aren't hurt are you?"

"No, I'm not hurt."

I could feel him sigh with relief.

"You want to tell me what happened?"

I sighed.

"No, but I can tell you that it's about my past and why I came here."

He sighed and it sounded kind of sad like.

"Okay, but I'll understand if you just don't want to tell it to me."

I pushed myself up so my chin was resting on my arms across his chest. I looked at him and studied his saddened face. I smiled and shook my head before I started to talk again.
