"Elliot, she will be just fine. Let her walk around!"
He frowned.
"The doctor said she needed rest! She shouldn't be over doing it."
Natalie rolled her eyes as she looked at me sitting on Elliot's bed again. I did a gun gesture to my head and pulled the imaginary trigger. I flopped over on the bed and she began to laugh with me and he looked at us in confusion. He sighed and looked back at Natalie with persistence. Natalie sighed and threw her hands up in the air.
"Fine, but on one exception."
"What?"
Natalie leaned to his ear and said something that appalled him so much he stepped back and shook his head. She crossed her arms and looked at him in annoyance. He sighed and looked at her not in frustration but in fear. Her eyes softened again and she said something to reassure him. He shook his head and walked into the room and shut the door. I was laying on my stomach with my face in his pillow.
"Why do I have to rest? I feel fine!"
He laughed.
"Yeah, until you do something and get exhausted. I will tickle you if you don't move."
"No you-"
I began to scream at Elliot as he tickled my sides. I laughed and screamed until I rolled over and he tickled me even more. I grabbed a pillow and smacked him with it. He grabbed the other and we had a pillow fight which he ended up winning. He flopped down on the bed breathing hard and I laid on top of him and he chuckled.
"This would look wrong if someone walked in."
"Who cares what anyone else thinks?"
I went to sit up but then Elliot sat up too and knocked me unbalanced. I fell forward onto Elliot and he fell back. The only thing that was keeping my face a centimeter away from his was I had caught myself. Our breathing was still heavy from the fight and I could smell the musky scent of his cologne mixed with the sweetness of his breath. His eyes scanned mine for a long time before he propped himself on his elbow and leaned into a kiss. My eyes fluttered closed and I returned the kiss. My arms wrapped around his neck and with his free hand he held me closer to him.
His soft lips cracked mine open just a little and his breath rushed into my mouth. I leaned more into the kiss and his hand slid down to my lower back and I could feel his fingers creep under the hem of my shirt. I gasped in some air and Elliot rolled me over on my back. He held himself up on his hands and looked at me. We were both gasping for air and both had flushed faces.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean- that wasn't -"
I held a finger to his lips and he smiled. He leaned down and kissed me on the lips a few times but then the door opened. Natalie came in holding a glass of fizzy pop and stopped in the doorway with her mouth wide open. Elliot looked down at me and smiled. I giggled and looked at him. We didn't even notice Natalie behind us until she coughed loudly and looked at us in shock. Elliot sat up and helped me sit up next to him. We looked at Natalie who looked at Elliot with anger. He said his hand into mine and entwined our fingers together. Natalie looked at us and her anger seemed to dissolve.
"Elliot, I told you to hold her hand not kiss her. At least it wasn't making out."
Elliot laughed and raised a eyebrow.
"Where were you about two minutes ago?"
I laughed and squeezed his hand tightly. He nudged me and laughed with me. Natalie smiled and handed me the glass of pop with a straw. I took a sip and smiled at her. She laughed and walked towards the door. Elliot looked at me and sipped the pop before he kissed me when I went to take a sip. Natalie laughed and laughed before she shut the door. Elliot kept kissing me and I smiled.
