So many Hiro x Reader requests. . .
Your pencil scratched against the graph paper furiously. Brows furrowed, your (E/C) eyes narrowed as you scrawled down some ideas. When you had inspiration, you just had to write it down.
"Heeeeeeey, (Y/N)," a familiar voice said. You looked up to see Hiro, your longtime friend and crush. He had something behind his back and he took long, sideways steps across your labspace to his. He was obviously hiding something.
"Hiro? Are you okay?" You put down the notebook.
"Yep," he said quickly. "It's all good, I'm alright, don't need anything, you don't need to look over here."
You rolled your eyes and picked up your notebook again. You glanced at Hiro questioningly as he gave you a "casual" grin. He didn't seem to see where he was going.
"Hiro! Watch ou-" you started. Too late! Hiro had walked straight into Wasabi's tool table. Everything clattered to the floor and Hiro landed with his back on the tabletop. He leaped up. "Ow, I think I got a wrench or something stuck in my back!"
Wasabi, who was the other side of his lab, shrieked. "What did you do?"
"Sorry, man, I wasn't looking!" Hiro winced, rubbing his back. He shoved whatever he was hiding in his pocket and crouched down to help clean up.
"Did you take my magnetic, self-turning robotic wrench?" Wasabi accused, eyeing Hiro's pocket.
"No!" Hiro said quickly. "It's just my new. . . robot."
Wasabi stopped. "Is it it?" he whispered.
Hiro nodded quickly. "Now shut up," he whispered back. "(Y/N)'s looking over. Here's your magnetic wrench thingy." He shoved it at Wasabi, then stood up.
"Good luck, man," Wasabi said to Hiro.
You stood up, knocking over your (F/C) pencil jar off the desk. All thoughts on the new design was gone. "Are you guys talking about me?" you demanded.
Hiro snorted. "You wish."
You walked out from behind your desk. "Come on, just tell me."
Hiro walked away. "No."
"You've never kept a secret from me before," you muttered darkly. You perked up. "Is it a present?"
"No, (Y/N)! Leave me alone!" Hiro yelled sharply.
Surprised, you slunk back to your desk. It's probably something for someone else, you thought. Haha, Hiro, guess what? You're not the only one with a secret.
When it was time to leave, you shoved everything into your backpack, knocking over your pencil jar again. Well, I don't care! I'm leaving. You zipped on your (F/C) jacket. Besides, I don't want to be late for the bot fight. You never participated anymore, but sometimes you watched.
Hiro walked by your desk, all set to go. "Need help cleaning up, (Y/N)?"
"No," you answered immediately, kicking all your stuff under your desk. "Bye, Hiro."
"(Y/N)! Wait!" Hiro's voice called out.
But you were already out the door.

Moths danced around a flickering streetlight. Whoops and cheers echoed down the alley. You slipped around the crowd and dropped your backpack in a corner. Smiling casually, you went over to the ring and peered at the competitors. Two robots were punching at each other.
"(Y/N)!" Hiro's voice rang out. You turned. Why did he practically follow you everywhere? Sure, you were best friends, but he didn't have to track you down and come after you like a strict dad.
When Hiro caught up with you, the host yelled, "Show's over! Go home!"
Murmuring along themselves, everyone packed up their things and trickled out the alley. The host glared at us. "Beat it, kids." She popped a piece of gum in her mouth and walked out.
"What is it, Hiro?" you asked impatiently. You didn't like being in a dark alley alone with a boy, even if he was your friend.
"You wanted to know what I was hiding, right?" he asked.
"No," you said bluntly.
"Yes, you did," he contradicted.
"No, I didn't," you said. "Hiro, just let me go."
Hiro shriveled a little inside. "But I can't," he whispered.
"Huh?" You were confused. "Why?"
He began to walk away. "Alright, I get it, (Y/N)," he grumbled. "I'll leave you alone from now on." Something fell out of his pocket and fell to the ground. "Oh, shoot!" he muttered.
Before he could grab it, the robot took a few steps towards me. "Searching for subject," it intoned.
"Oh, shoot," Hiro mumbled again. He attempted to grab it again, but the robot ran out of his hands in my direction. I stared at it in shock.
"Subject located," the robot said. It jumped into my arms, and a screen on its stomach buzzed to life. Your eyes widened. On the screen was Hiro.
Hiro stared into the camera. "Is this thing on?" he asked. He shook the camera a little. "Okay, it is." He straightened up. "Hi, (Y/N). You're probably wondering what this thing is for." He took a deep breath.
"(Y/N), I've waited too long to tell you this. I must be a coward, since I can't tell you in person, but, I really like you." He paused. "I just wanted to say that. And. . . will you go out with me?" He stared hopefully into the camera as if he was waiting for a response. Then the screen went black and the robot went limp.
Shocked, you looked up at Hiro, who was covering his face with his hands. "Give it," he growled, snatching the robot from your hands. "Forget it."
"Hiro!" you called when he turned away. He looked back at you. You stepped up to him and crushed him in a hug. A smile spread over Hiro's face.
"Yes," you whispered. "Yes, I will."
