The Ferris Wheel (Tadashi x Reader)

You and Tadashi walked around the Annual San Fransokyo Carnival. It was a hot summer day and you were wearing a (F/C) T-shirt and denim shorts. 

"It's really hot," you complained. "And the sun is in my eyes." 

Tadashi smiled and pulled off his cap, then fit it onto your head. "Better?"

You grinned and gave him a quick one-arm hug. Tadashi took your hand in reply and held it in his. "What do you want to do?"

"Do you want to play some games first?" you asked, eyeing the booths and booths of carnival games.

"Sure!" Tadashi pulled you in the direction of the ring toss. You watched as Tadashi tossed one ring after another, winning him the chance to choose any prize he wanted. Tadashi pointed to a (F/C) teddy bear, then handed it to you. "Here, it's for you," he said shyly.

You jumped up and down excitedly like a little kid who just won some candy. "Thanks," you said happily, blushing.

"No problem." Tadashi smiled a little and wrapped an arm around your waist. 

After playing several more games (and Tadashi winning you more prizes) the both of you ate lunch. It was getting dark when you both staggered off the roller coaster.

"Now the Ferris Wheel!" You clutched your teddy bear in one hand and Tadashi's hand in the other. "Please?"

"Of course," he replied. Make her as happy as possible so then you can ask her, he thought.

When the two of you slid into a Ferris Wheel cart, the fireworks show started, illuminating the the night sky. Tadashi cleared his throat when the cart stopped at the top, gently swinging back and forth. You looked at him. "Huh?"

"(Y/N), I just wanted to tell you, I mean, ask you something." Tadashi shifted uncomfortably and stared out at the fireworks.

You blinked at him. "What is it?"

"I- I-" Tadashi stuttered. He just couldn't get the words out.

You looked at him patiently. 

"I really like you," Tadashi finally blurted out, staring at his lap. "And I was wondering if you would go out with me. You don't have to, but I would be really glad if you did."

"R-really?" A blush spread over your face. "I would love to!"

Tadashi looked up at your face, grinning. "So that means yes? Well, of course it does, but. . . I'm so glad!" He moved closer to you and wrapped you into a hug. You smiled and buried your face into his chest. Tadashi kissed the top of your head when the cart lurched forward and carefully glided downwards.
